Those look like trainer tires.

well, there's a disc on the back, the seat-tube appears to be slightly curved assuming the camera doesn't have a fisheye lense, and the seatstay seems to be ending below where it would for a regular steel road/track frame.

It is a time trial frame, though the seat tube is not curved -- I think the edges of the picture are throwing you off. The tire is an orange Tufo tubular (not a trainer).

am i missing something? i see no picture.

deathhare 12-24-07 08:48 PM

That paint looks almost the same as your Makino. Or reversed maybe.

br995 12-24-07 08:52 PM

Oh just you wait and see.

(I'm waiting for the wheels for my Makino, but once they arrive it should be done)

deathhare 12-24-07 08:53 PM

:)

bikeage 12-24-07 10:37 PM

OMG! Campy brakes and leverz!!1!

nateintokyo 12-24-07 10:54 PM

blingy-bling commuter. but ......wouldn't something other than a Brooks be better for a place with lots of rain??

babychris 12-24-07 10:55 PM

I like. I like.

I believe that the Brooks is standard-issue on those Raleighs, now.

miss_emma 12-24-07 11:28 PM

Beautiful.

chase. 12-24-07 11:39 PM

campy crank with zen ring looks way odd.

bikeage 12-24-07 11:54 PM

thanks guys. I'm loving the bike, but hating the fact that it's heavier than my hardtail MTB....

It's definitely a smooth ride, though!

....and so it is good for a rain bike/commuter because? I dunno, I was always loath to properly bag my Brooks in the rain and ended up switching it for something else since I was so lazy.....

thanks duder! I built in anticipation of moving to your old town!

Where would one find a Campy V-Brake setup...

bikeage 12-25-07 07:00 PM

v-brakes shouldn't be the hardest things to find. You can order a pair of Campy mini v's through QBP.
Cantilevers are a different story...

rodri9o 12-25-07 08:13 PM

swapped bars and this time trew the old Control-Tech stem onto the flat bar I had already put on before....now I can just swap the 'drop-bar' set and the 'flat bar' set...quick and easy.

...now I gotta figure out a front brake option again....

I also started using both sides of the rear hub...18T/19T with a 46:

Nouia 12-25-07 09:42 PM

I got some aerobars for Christmas and I'm away from home so I didn't have my TT bars handy, so I just threw them on my risers for the hell of it.

I'm not sure what to think.

Here she is:
