Found a frame that fit me better and transfered all my components over from my Motobecane.
The seat angle looks odd, but hey it's a Brooks, and Brooks is murder...on me if I don't angle it up a bit.
I'll but some before pictures over in the conversion thread.

This is my Cayne uno the complete bike cost me 450
I got a new set of wheels with a fixed/fixed hub(though im only running one cog right now), new tires. I'am currently using an ugly as saddle which is a little better than the one that comes with the bike. If some one has a good condition used san marco rolls or regal saddle let me know im tired of battling with other ebay members.

Yup I feel the same. I wish I had a Pearl 8. The top tube is longer than my last bike and I didn't have many shorter stems on hand. I went from Pearl 10 to 9 to NJ Pro 90mm to the NJ Pro 80mm in the pic and now it fits good.

Sweet, thanks for the info. I just picked up a Mark V Pro and I want to run some nice phattie tires. I also got a pretty sweet disc-only carbon fork to use with it as well. I dont plan on doing any serious offroad stuff, but want a go-anywhere-do-anything bike.

I have a 28c Randonneur on my other bike, and am considering putting one on the front as well, the streets here in SF are pretty gnarly.

humancongereel 03-06-08 01:13 AM

randos are awesome in back, but for the front a bontrager racelite hardcase is really ****ing durable and is cheaper. i think.

Yea I really took some skids on it today and you really stop faster on 35s. The ride quality is so nice too since everything is dampened and I don't worry too much about what I go over now. You will go slower than normal though but it's good resistance training.

This is a nice bike. I like how the rims and chainring seem to have a similar theme, and the painted bars look nice, too. A very well thought out build, I would say.

That bike looks good. Post it. Do u have part of the text covered up or painted over?
Your bike actually got me thinking about getting one of those while I was riding home.

Sorry if it's not obvious, but if you click the pic - you'll see all all the glorious details.

Ride safe.
