Finished! I decided I wanted to go cyclocross style. It'll have a singlespeed wheel for the winter/badweather/mud. Right now it's running fixed.

mmm..... EBP.

Rides great so far. I rode the bike home from my shop last night with CX tires mounted on it. And this afternoon swapped em for some standard general use road tires. So we'll see if it rides a bit faster now.

unfortunately I think I jumped the shark on this one. but I won't say by how much.

No. It's "primer." :)

I pulled the back wheel off, but apparently didn't move it far enough out of the way. Ooops. We can't all be rocket scientists. Thankfully, we can all be chemists. Acetone took it right off. :)

The stock paintjob was pretty cool :o

Was that a rattlecan paint job?

No question, it was/is. Everything I own seems to end up flat black with stickers on it at some point. However, I must admit that I did hesitate a bit before the rattlecan came out to do it's thing...but only for a second. :)

:D

The flat black looks very slick though. Can I ask how many coats of primer/paint it took? I may be attempting a repainting soon

Two, with very little dry time between them. It could use another coat to really finish off the Road Warrior / Mad Max / Doom Rider look...

Presumably, right after I (and others) handed his @ss to him in his hilariously back-fired thread. The funny thing is, I noticed onespeed *****ting up numerous other threads and had no idea it was bdfresh. What a clown. Hopefully he disappears once he gets rid of that Scattante, he contributes jack to this forum.

queerpunk 07-02-08 09:35 PM

this is my track bike.

at the track.

i got my scat(had been eyeing it and when i saw his i decided to sell my rims and pull the trigger) after him and am kinda sad because i wanted to have my onespeed89 hate separate from the hilarity of bdfresh's demise.

Sweet. I think I'm gona give mine a shot tomorrow! I just quickly sanded the frame a bit, but I'll do lots more tomorrow. Did you do much prep-work to get the primer to stay?

*WildHare* 07-02-08 09:47 PM

My "work in progress"...

http://img93.imageshack.us/img93/1213/inprogressiz1.jpg

Still to come...White bar wrap, silver stem, black fork, polished cranks, black chain ring, black deep v's, hubs and spokes...etc...(front wheel is temporary off my Synapse)

The only thing left after rebuild will be the frame :D

He has been messaging people on BF with hate-mail, maybe you will get lucky ;)

I cannot recall if you were one of the people who messaged me about bdfresh's fiasco or not but the eBay buyer of his great Keirin track bike got back to me and he paid half of what the final bid was, so, karma won in the end.

all the messages i gave/recieved were positive, no hate. the deal sounds good in the end but as much as i want to be friends with my fellow XRL rider, he needs to quit being such a jerk to people and stop posting so much dumb stuff. if everyone can chill out and stay positive it will all be good.

daybreak 07-03-08 02:08 AM

i've suspected for a while that onespeed = bdfresh, but it was just a hunch until he started posting in the ebay/cl thread about his own bike for sale, trying to pass off as a third party person. lame.

2. People ride bikes on tracks?
