I bought the bike knowing full well it was going to get ridden on the street on looong rides [hence the aquarack, dehydration does bad things to me]. I agree, the Brooks looks really weird on the bike, but it's like a vacation for your ass.

Wheels are only 3X. I thought 4X was njs. So close.

and that gearing? no way.

http://farm1.static.flickr.com/217/5...53a0d690_o.jpg Can I please procreate with your bike. It's the hotness. Seriously though, that looks amazing. I pray my Guerciotti looks that good when I finish with it. |

Duh. That's obviously a scraper bike with spinner wheels.

okay, so i knew the bike wasn't all njs (i don't believe that saddle is njs, for starters), but even in non-keirin track events, that sort of bar/stem combo isn't terribly common (from what i've seen), and is totally stupid for the street, hence my smart-ass comment about the bike.

i use it, love it with a high ratio / sprints. great for situations where you need to constantly be going fast, i.e. alleycats. i also love riding in the drops when hammering up hill, all extended and aero. horrible for when you're tired and riding slow, but i don't like to ride slow that much. also not as comfortable when i have a lower ratio. but riding fully extended in drops is about my favorite situation for my favorite thing, sprinting. |

Hey Leloy, I really like your bike too!! Looks so simple... Love those lugs and the black headset too!! If you must change the wheels, I'm voting for polished silver Aeros.

I wanted a porteur-style bike for commuting to work in nice clothes. I modified Stella with Nitto cruiser bars, Wald front basket and Berthoud stainless fenders. Eggbeaters out and Powergrips in so my fancy shoes fit nicely. The Nashbar fake leather grips are mucho comfy, and they really tie the room together.
