Damn man, how do you keep your Motobecane looking so nice? I swear I even look at mine wrong and that purty orange paint chips off just to spite me. I'm going to be repainting just so I don't have to deal with that anymore.

I posted a picture a couple days ago of my new vintage track bike, it did not have any tires on it and I got called out. Well its done for now. It's sports these vintage parts, Sugino 65 151 bdc cranks, with campy bottom bracket and campy pedals. Super Champion rims 36 hole with Campy Champion high flange hubs, front and back. Cinelli steel chrome stem and 3ttt bars. The frame was built by a Jim Rogers who was from Chicago using Renolds 531 with campy dropout, the fork is columbus. I got the bike off the original owner who race it one season in 1974 in Chicago, he moved out east after college and it's been sitting in his basement until I got her.. He also include in the way to good to be true price 6 rear cogs and 5 new front chain rings for the 151's.. Doing some research on these parts I would have to say that this is way better bike than I could have ever afforded to build..

amen. |
Rode it around the block today, first time on a fixed gear. Felt comfortable but had a hell of a time getting my left foot in the toe clip. I left the chain a bit long until I find the right gearing. The only thing is I felt bad riding it, the bike is so clean. What to do, that is the question?

ride it more.

sell that *****!

If it fits, and you love it...ride it. If you think someone else will enjoy it more, sell it. My bike is amazingly clean and beautiful...but if I had no chance of riding it again, I would have sold it.:) Don't get attached to material things. |

Advice....what should I do??
It's an all original 60's foldable (actually breaks in 2). Do I hook it ala Raleigh Twenty or leave it alone? |
