LOL. Mine didn't have one, but oh well. Still NOS so no dings or rust or anything.

it's a centurion ironman dave scott - it's got horizontal dropouts and it's smaller and less dented than my current frame... i'd probably paint it.

trons 06-18-07 07:41 PM

buy it and send it to me

Yes, definitely. $50 is a good deal on that bike; tange frame, shimano 105 or 600 group - very solid ride that regularly sells in the $100-$200 range. That is one of the nicer paint schemes in that model; mine is bright pink and yellow.

There is an extensive article on Centurion here, as well as a lot of discussion in the C&V forum.

$50 is a steal. I say keep it geared. Those old Centurion frames
typically have solid 105 or 600 components which will last forever,
and they usually weigh around twenty pounds fully outfitted. I have
a Lemans that I adore.

That's the best bike I've seen on here in ages. I ****ing love it.
it. Is that maker on the web? Is there someplace I could see
his other frames? Also, what grips are those?

Go for it Charlie. I picked up my Ironman Master for $200. It was in nearly perfect shape granted, but well worth it. What size is that?

Uh, if you're riding single speed, you still need the rear brake. Unless of course you don't mind eating a fair chunk of road next time you need to make an emergency stop. Look after yourself!

Not to mention that riding with just one brake lever is pretty uncomfortable.

yeah it is certainly a work in progress. It will be fixed once I get the new wheels.

waldner, that master kills. the photos are nice, too.

BoozyMcliverRot 06-19-07 01:31 AM

If you lower the stem a 1/2 inch and tilt the bars up just a bit.......it will be more symetrical.

thats just my 2cents....do as you wish. It is a beutiful whip.

Why lower the stem? I love that frame, it always seems to look good.

piwonka 06-19-07 07:19 AM

yeah, that master is cool. the setup looks fine.

waldner 06-19-07 07:41 AM

Thank you guys! The current saddle to bar drop is about all that I can handdle for the moment. Switching from risers to drops was a suprisingly pleasant experience though. I finally got the feeling of riding a track bike, not just a fixed gear.
