2007 Schwinn Madison

Shes tons of fun, rides nice and looks good. I love it!

Pretty much stock except for the look pedals, fizik tape and Selle Italia SLR kit carbonio saddle (to make up the heavy frame!)

Oh, in an attempt to rid this classy looking bike of the cheap black parts, I polished the cranks.

Hey just wondering is the seatpost on ur madison stock or aftermarket??

Cheer,
Dub.

Astronomical 07-14-07 11:03 PM

Yeah but riding 25 miles on that seat would leave your ass burning.

how heavy is that bike really? also, are the decals over or under the clear coat? not that it really matters since it looks clean as **** as it is.

EMT 07-15-07 01:33 AM

I was riding one----the answer to your 1st question is: pretty damn heavy. :) can't remember about the decals.

Tadashi 07-15-07 02:10 AM

Yeah, I have one, it's very heavy. And decals are under the clear coat.

While is indeed heavy when lifting it, when riding it it does not feel nearly as heavy. While I won't go as far as to say it rides light on its feet like my scott,

I will say that it would rival many entry level road bikes. It also has a surprising snap under sprint conditions, not what I expected of a budget frame. I think the only corners cut were the seatpost and stem. Both are heavy as sin, chunky looking, and cheap feeling, and are all-around crap.

As for the decals, they are indeed under clear coat, but the head tube was a badge and not a sticker, and thus removed.

I wouldnt have even spent the money on the tape. If you want attention attach some road flares to your helmet. :)
