Some of the all carbon saddles are surprisingly comfortable if you're in the drops because they fit your sit bones just so when you're racing. For commuting purposes, I figure they'd be absolutely dreadful because that's not what they're intended for.

Agreed, they're fairly comfortable IF you can find one that perfectly fits your bones.

Does Serotta even make a track bike?

DasProfezzional 07-12-07 10:57 PM

That Huffy is quite boss indeed. Methinks it would look spectacular with a silver stem.

schnee 07-12-07 11:03 PM

When it's parked, put a grocery store plastic bag over it, secured with a rubber band. Instant 'ghetto'.

Dude, I had a dream that I was going to a yard sale and the guy is selling a 7-11 Huffy for $5. And I have like $4 and some change.

Actually, I just recently read that the fancy competition Huffys were actually made by Roland Della Santa. Only Murrays were turned out by Serotta. Being a Della Santa might actually give it a higher pedigree.

so do i, but instead of an elastic, i just take the handles and tie them around the seat post! this works best with the smaller plain grey plastic bags that you get at convenience stores and the like.
