How did that happen, was your bike just in the street without you? In any case, glad you're alright, and I hope you are amply compensated.

Up for bid is this lovely red fixed frame, complete with headset, stem, and real track bars! Also includes NJS-type seatpost and slightly used WHITE saddle, similar to Regal or Concor. There has been some damge to the frame, but it's steel so everything can be straightened by your local framebuilder for practically pennies. Please don't ride as is.

(This is a converted road frame, perfect for running a rear brake and a freewheel)

Sad part is that someone would buy it. There's no shortage of stupid people in the world, or on the interweb.

Five pages and not a word about that poster? I want one, where can I get one?
Edit: Just noticed it's a real Disco racing team poster. But Jamie + Croc Hunter + Snake On Bikes > Team Disco. At least for awesomeness of posters...

One reply in five pages and it's not even about the mysterious shots of the bike? Apparently the people who post in this thread really do only care about a dime a dozen almostNJSexceptfortherimsspokestiresandme and IRO posts. C'mon people, rigid single speeds are the future!

Also, that poster is advertising the "Race to Replace" schtick that took place at the Major Taylor Velodrome in August. The croc hunter and Gary Fisher narrowly missed victory.

Is that Bigfoot standing next to him? Or is it Elvis? Would Elvis ride a Guerciotti?

Nothing quite like twin saddle/stem angles...

On-One Midge bars? Don't know mountain rims, so I couldn't speculate on those. Otherwise it's all up in the air - there're no brakes apparent, though there might be levers. No one posts much info on their off-road bikes, though, so it's kind of a given that no one's gushing over the components - NJS-wannabes and such all seem to post full specs. From what I can see on your post, a line of text, three pictures of high-quality components, but not much else.

DoshKel 02-20-07 10:41 PM

For some reason it looks like dipper is holding a blue guitar and has on headphones. Totally sweet.

There wasn't "much else" because I didn't have some key components. The only thing missing at this point is the crankset. Tons of people post "preview pictures" and people predictably come flocking at the sight of a well-filed lug or some sparkly paint. I'm not complaining, I just think it's predictable. There have been some seriously sweet unusual postings in this thread (some dude's Rensho turned cross bike comes to mind) and they usually get far less commentary than some yawn-worthy off-the-peg fixed gear.

Too much dust and dirt; nice color scheme though.
