Bikes: 2007 IRO Mark V fixed, 1971 Schwinn Spitfire stock newsie cruiser, 60's Schwinn Collegiate single speed, 1984 Azuki Imperial fixed, old unknown brand Tandem fixed.

DIY Hip Pack

Needed a little pack to carry some crap in. Here's how I did it:

1) Found a little kid's backpack at the thrift store. 25¢.

2) Cut out a cross shape (with like a 4" body size) out of the canvas.

3) Cut out another piece (same size) with some liner material from inside the backpack. You could prolly skip this if you wanted to, but I was going for broke.

4) Sewed it on with white thread for some contrast.

5) Cut out a piece of leather from some old camera bag that I had salvaged. This is the piece that will attach to my belt so I needed something strong. Anything tough will work I'm sure.

6) Measured out how long the slits needed to be using my belt as a guide. Cut them and sewed that thing on good.

7) Sewed on some velcro from an old saddle bag I found in my storeroom and sewed it on nice and tight.

8) Finally, sewed up the edges with a sloppy zig zag, then stitched the whole thing together (easy) and flipped it right side out. Came out damn good.

I made a accessory(phone/ipod classic) pouch for my backpack strap out of old tubes and a sewing awl, shall I post pics?

And you did a nice job, I made my own little pack like that but I never got to the belt loop part. Haha. I love tearing up old backpacks and stuff for materials.

Bikes: Two unicycles duct taped together

This is very cool. I wish we had a DIY section in this site.

Isn't it funny that all it took to make fannypacks cool again was to shift them slightly to the side. Nicely done!

Just for you, I hopped into my time machine and created one over 3 years ago: https://www.bikeforums.net/singlespeed-fixed-gear/259766-do-yourself-diy.html

(This is in the sticky that no one reads)

This is awesome, and way cooler than paying $55 to seagull for the same deal (though theirs holds a u-lock). I'm totally on board for a DIY section.

This was the first thread I read when I started an account. I'm actually getting ready to polish some drop bars because I re-read it the other day and was inspired by the Cinelli stem. I love that thread.
