Today I helped my friend out with some small problems on his road to SS conversion, and I took that bike for a spin, and I am looking forward to getting a FS of my own :>

I hope it wasn't during the examination. That'd be strange and awkward.

Last night I got hit while on a road ride by 2 people going down a hill on mountain bikes. My bike is toast and my collar bone is snapped.

Today I watched the biggest gull I've ever seen destroy my neighbor's garbage and beat the crap out of two crows who tried to join in. It was awesome/terrifying.

Oh man, I'm so sorry. Get well soon.

Today they are resurfacing the loading dock at work, making our bike parking inaccessible. So I rode Pikachu (my SS) to work instead of my commuter because it's so tiny and easy to get up stairs and in elevators. Now it's in my cube and I get to look at it all day.

Bikes: Colnago Crystal road, Lotus road, Dawes SST-AL fixed gear

Today, or tonight I guess, I'll be watching my #2 daughter graduate with a 2-year Associates Degree from the local CC, Parkland College ... in the fall she'll be a student at Eastern Illinois University to turn that into a Bachelors.

In two weeks, I'll be watching my #4 daughter (and my Brazilian exchange student) graduate from high school. 4 down, 1 to go!

Proud Daddy.

Today I went for a longer ride than usual and nearly ran over this stick .

Also I'm in love with the fact that the top line is the exact width of the picture. Unlike this line...

Bikes: Trek Madone, Araya commute

Today I got my first tour of my new place of employment, Trek. I have to say, my mind was blown as every corner you take, just frames and frames and frames of Madones. Also, the 'race area' was unbelievable too. Completely filled with all of the bikes for every Trek Team racer. Truly is an amazing place.

Today i harassed the 800# for UPS until they finally got the driver to meet with me to get my wheelset.
I have no leasing office at my apartments and they've tried twice to leave the package but i work and go to school everyday so i've missed them both times.
Took 3 hours of calling and waiting for calls, but i got them.

NOTHING, will stop me from having this bike together to ride this weekend.Nothing.

Today I got my summer job. I get to live in a cabin on a lake and supervise lifeguards. Needless to say, I am totally psyched.

Today I tried to drop this (literally) mentally ill guy on a beater mountain bike who tried to chat me up with "HAY ANOTHER BIKE RIDER! you know it's safer to ride in groups!" as if his crazy ass is gonna be my new best friend just because we were riding on the same street. I did drop him (added difficulty: stuck behind 2 city busses) but he caught up with me at a red light and rode in circles while he talked about how fast i was and "you are in good shape, kept up with that wind NO PROBLEM!" At that point I decided I was really weirded out so when the light turned green I rode really slowly so he would get away from me. Luckily he did go on ahead and I hid behind a bus for a while.

What kind of employee discount does that place come with?

When I read this part (the pary in red), I for some reason thought this was all happening while you were riding (as opposed to stopped at a red light). I pictured you riding forward in traffic and him circling around you the entire time. I was about to say this guy is absolutely awesome.

Then I realized what was really going on and decided he was still awesome, but considerably less so.

Wow, sounds like something my cousin would try to use on a girl. It's really gross...

Today I wanted to find the prick who decided it was a good idea to put gash in the saddle of my DJ'er and given him a peice of my mind.
