The K710 and K710SL chains have the same pins. They're not really a pain at all if you're using your chain tool correctly.

not even remotely the same as the 710 I have on my chainwhip. The pins were more rivet like.

They are exactly the same "mushroomed" shape, except the SL versions are hollow.

I literally just split a 710SL chain, and it worked perfectly fine.

Leukys eager search for black Nitto bar ends lead me to Retrogression, but I don't really get what they do.

How do they work? Why use them over using the plastic ones that come with bar tape?

Who's talking about me?

Anyhow from my first hand experience, I happen to have 2 sets; one from scrod and the other 2nd hand. I just want them primarily for cosmetics; they look so nice! As for installation & removal, you're literally going to have to fight them with your barehands to get them in/ out as you don't want to cheat with a tool as it is going to mar the finish (I doubt you would want that and it would totally defeats my purpose), especially with tape that has more padding; dish soap helps through but I was swearing hysterically the first time I installed them. Something about the bar taking it like a female dog.... But alls all, it goes in and stays in at the end of the day while making your cockpit look good.

I remember ddeadserious had a carbon fork with an oversized crown on his 722TS and had an issue with a visible gap between the crown race and the bottom of the headset. Hopefully he'll see this and post a pic.
This is how far the bearing sat on the race. Never had a problem with it but I don't think it was correct.

The oversized crown looked totally fine on the bike the fork came on(Gravity Swift 2), just because the headset was a different shape I suppose, but it didn't look great with the rounded Techno-Glide(on my 722). I ended up painting the bare aluminum black so that the gap wasn't so noticeable and it made it look much better. Here's a photo where you can see the gap though.

For the 20 something bucks I paid I wasn't expecting much, but after ridin around on it the whole afternoon I'm very satisfied.

ignore, ignore, ignore. As one of the handful of kids into punk rock when i was in (Catholic, eek!) high school, I heard this nonstop. **** stops phasing you once you stop feeding the flames by giving a ****. The kid is a professional t-w-a-t and once high school is over you're gonna realize losing sleep over some weak-ass dick was silly.

Or just act too crazy to be ****ed with. I did that sometimes.
