There are some special thread locker products that use the oil on the threads to seep through and then form the thread locking compound. dont remember the name though :P

lol, well i wasnt looking for a personal shopper just mabye a second opinion
is there any way of measuring the stack height of my headset besides taking everything out and measuring it? |
Stack height is the measurement of the visible parts of your headset when it's installed. Measure the top, bottom and add them together.

gotcha, wasnt sure if it included the inside of the cups or not, thanks

Scrod if I was looking for a 1" threaded kilo where would be the best place to find one? besides my local C.L.
Any cool 1" threaded FG framesets (under $300) you recommend? I like the vintage look plus I can easily drop parts from my conversion onto a new frameset. What would you charge to thread a 1" threadless fork at your shop? I.E. these Framesets.http://bikeisland.com/cgi-bin/BKTK_S...ls&ProdID=1876 Thanks. |
Threading a threadless fork is a complete mother****er to do. I could sell you a 1" threaded fork for less than the labor charge.
|
Ok thanks. I will continue to look for a 1" threaded frameset then.
How long ago was BD selling quill stem track bikes? |
You could get the kilo and swap the fork, stem, and headset to a threaded set-up.

Sweet thanks know I know!
And knowing is half the battle! |
do you trim your beard?
|
Scrod do you think that this fork would fit nicely onto a 722ts? Does it need any kind of special headset or the one on the normal 722 fork would suffice?

nah not worth it :-/

Two questions:
1) Can you reasonably extend threads on a threaded fork? 2) Do you own a car? I know that's a weird question, lol. |
Scrod, how do you prevent or deal with spoke wind up when using Lasers?
|
Hey Scrodzilla,
What brand of red toe clips would you recommend to replace the stock ones that come on the Mercier Kilo TT. The stock ones are a bit too tight for my feet. Thanks |

Nice car.
Hey, I was just thinking, do you own a road bike? |
I do - a Bianchi Campione. I pretty much only ride it on a trainer in the winter. There's a pic somewhere in this thread.
