Have you ridden your GP4000's or your 4Seasons yet?

That's how I did my set of hard shells in, sidewall tear.

GP 4000 was hit or miss for me, had a set last until the chords, then had another set that only survived a week.

Between their two offerenings with the 4 seasons and the Gator Hardshell, I feel the 4 seasons is the better tire.

Ever try the GP4000S's?

I just bought a set, wondering what I got myself into.

Angie is currently riding GP4000s. I haven't ridden either but know a good number of people who swear by them.

No I have not, the GP4000S is a great tire, I know a bunch of people as well who swear by them, the black chili compound just does not work for me.

I remember your experience with the Pro4's.

You'll love them. I'm working my way through my second set this season. Basically they're your gatorskin but with improved protection and a much lower rolling resistance when put in comparison with the later.

The 4000s is a great tire, been on mine for about 6 months; 20 miles daily with 0 issues.

Tomorrow the endurance training begins, it's definitely on this time. Should I make the him go through a climb that lasts for 3 miles with sections having a grade of over 12%?

Yep. I figure I will start the all out effort where that climb starts.

Hub recomendation for 75% of people: Get yourself some formulas if you have a strange spacing, if not get some novatechs.

Wait, some guy you're supposed to be endurance training with bailed after only 10 miles!?!?!

Yeah, he said he was too wiped out. He couldn't keep up on a 4% grade climb. He's going to have to find someone else to help him out the next time, I'm done with him. This was the same guy who made me wait an hour and a half before calling to say he wasn't going to make it back on Monday.

I'm not aware of any low flange hubs by either of those folks. I'm not super opposed to high flange hubs. But, I do prefer the aesthetic of low-flange, and figured I'd try to find some affordable ones before I pull the trigger on another set.

They're hard to come by in the US for some reason. eBay is your best bet.

Those are legit. But, they're out of stock on silver. And, according to the guy I asked- "Hi. Silver color will not come soon". I'll try and find those elsewhere though, I appreciate it!

Otherwise I'll probably just suck it up and go with a circus monkey road hub in the front, and a lower-flange high flange hub, like the All-City New Sheriff in the back.

FWIW - the New Sheriff has a pretty standard size high flange.
