Nag also knows what he's talking about and I stand by my opinion of Superb being a ripoff.

Can we stop talking about this crap in my thread now? Thanks.

"Good day pricks" Haha ;)

Can we ask bike related questions now?

Nagrom_ 04-17-13 03:06 PM

Let's talk about how much my bike weighs.

Yes.

Good.

1. Will clips and straps mar up my new running shoes, or should I use an older pair.

2. Have you ever had to mess with a one bolt hold everything in place and hope it doesn't move as you tighten it Look seatpost?

3. If so, were you succussful?

Germany_chris 04-17-13 03:09 PM

How about this, lets give you both boxing gloves the last person standing is right..

That would imply that I have an instrument to measure with, and sadly that is not the case..

Just buy an FSA chainring. It will have a nifty diagram on the back that will show you what you really needed in the first place.

Then return it and get the right one. Works on four AND five arm cranks. Quite neat and handy.

They most likely will.

I'm getting a weird noise from my bike when I'm riding it, I just noticed it in the past 2 months, but just said it was probably the chain and needed lubing, but it hasnt stopped yet. I've narrowed it down to the rear of the bike, closer to the hub, but it could be the chain. Im not sure how to explain the noise other than it sounds like if you were scratching those mesh pencil cups you can buy at staples.

Sorry for being really vague about it, I just have no idea how to explain it.

Stuff like this is nearly impossible to diagnose over the internet. Is your chain really tight?

No its not tight, theres some slack, I feel a little bit of movement when im stopped and i put my foot on the pedals and shift it back and forth, I heard that was okay to have and that having a really tight chain isn't a good thing. It could be that my rear hub is loose again, it just sounds different this time, but i'll go and check it out

sorry, but i have to say:

have you only lubed the chain? many times, lubing the chain isn't enough. you have to take it off and clean it first. otherwise, the gunk could stay.

it probably is time to clean the chain, I'll probably have time next week to do it, I actually havent cleaned the chain at all so this may be the problem as the rear end of my bike is getting dirty from riding on wet pavement

Dude, you're a fool. My shop does just as well "in real life" as we do on the internet.

I thought we already clarified this was directed towards Nogram... You resort to name calling, ask to end the discussion, then edit your previous post twenty minutes after the discussion was over. You're an adult, but it seems like you're threatened in some way. I'm getting the feeling you both enjoy voicing your opinion, but you're not into finishing what you started. You should try a megaphone instead of an open forum.

Nice edit.

You mess with one of us, you mess with the whole trailer park.

Nagrom_ 04-17-13 09:33 PM

I'm gonna change my legal name to Margon.

Mobile home park??? That's for those doublewides and fancy abodes.

Thanks for the compliment. I didn't realize I was worthy.

Ha, Nogram? Like No Grams? Because of the kilo weights. Ha.

I'll show myself out.

I'm the most seemingly important person you'll ever meet.

What is your opinion on the Nitto dream handlebar? I want to swap the stock track bars on my Pista and the Nitto's look classy and match the chrome contact points the bike currently. I really wanted something with flat/wing tops, but they aren't necessary.

Also, do you prefer OFF!'s first 4 EP's or the full length album?

I prefer Scrod's prices. Nagrom and the like are children, caught a peak behind the curtain, and freaked out. These markups are completely ordinary.

I've never made a single claim about any of these criteria on this forum. In fact, I'm a successful accountant and on occasion consult a locally owned bike shop. Making assertions about what I don't know regarding how a retail business survives or thrives is certainly foolish on your part.

I'm sure there are better forums if you want to discuss microeconomics.

Scrod,
What's the best hardcore album so far this decade?

I have those bars on my BK and like them a lot. The drop is nice without being too deep and the upper bends offer a decent hand position even without using hoods.

I like everything they've put out but if I had to pick, I'd choose the four EPs.

That WAS me finishing what I started (and you're just bummed because I'm right).

If you really want more, come by the shop sometime.

Define hardcore. The lines are pretty blurry these days.
