Nope, your pants get caught in the upper part of the chainring.

I mean I know what a chainring guard is for but did know why that was only covering a small portion. The vid Hothead286 posted cleared that up for me, thanks.

New crank should be here any day ........ Im going from a 53t to a 48t, what should I expect to change in the ride? Harder or easier to pedal ..... or the same?
|
Easier or harder, depending on how good you are at spinning.

When installing double clips and straps, do you have to have two slots on your pedal to thread each strap in?
|
In case anyone here thinks "Hey getting one of those sure would be swell!"

No. The laws of physics will keep the second strap in place even without a slot.

it's worth splurging for laminated leather vs regular leather
|
cloth/vinyl straps last way longer.
|
Dear Scrod,
Are those Sapim CX-Ray spokes strong enough to warrant 28/24 spokes on the street? |

http://www.os2.dhs.org/~john/binda.jpg They actually have lasted longer than the pedals; the cage failed a couple years ago d/t erosion from my cleats, but the straps are still going strong: http://www.os2.dhs.org/~john/zeus-pista-pedal.jpg |
