You know I applied for a job earlier this year in San Diego and I got four different phone interviews and they strung me along for five weeks before they turned me down. Fortunately I found something here that I wanted more but maybe hirers in SD feel like this is what they are supposed to do to out-of-towners because of the job market.
But I'd rather that happen then get hired, spend $300 on required equipment, to have your start date pushed back a month to find out they aren't going to need you after all. That's the bull**** I'm dealing with right now. I have two interviews lined up for this week at least.

I found out I didn't get the job in San Diego (salary didn't line up). Its bitter sweet, I am happy to still be in NY (employed) but I would have liked to have tried West Coast living. @Scrodzilla sorry homie, you'll have to find a new best friend. @Mumonkan you're stuck with me.
I was looking forward to that beer you owe me!

Decided to throw the old nice but neglected wheels from my cdale road 3.0 on the truing stand after the morning ride.
Tri-flow, PB blaster, nipple driver, and pliers all day.
Can you tell which nipple was included for free with DT spokes?

Dudes, I am getting so stoked for Alaska! I'm planning to bring only one bike up with me this summer. There is awesome road riding and mountain biking. Pretty sure I will bring my rigid 29er with 1x9 drivetrain and bring an extra wheelset with 28mm road tires. Anyone care to comment on what type of bike they would like best for all-in-one use?

I honestly have no clue, decals have long fallen off the rims. These are definitely not the rims that came with it; the ones that did were tubular.
Good guess with the CXP33 but I dont think mavic ever put out a ceramic coated one of those. Also there's no brake surface; whatever is there is not flat. But I guess they knew what they were doing as disc brakes were stuff of dreams when these were new. Spokes also have no clues aside from a triangular set of 3 dots.
1 things for certain with these wheels tho: duracchi

I think you're getting pretty warm tho; any profile and width specs on those to confirm?
Can't really vouch for how difficult was to mount the gatorskins on there considering I mount tires like a BAMF ever since I got that koolstop tire bead jack

I think I just found out that my company's office is going to move, which would mean I actually have to buy the car I've been telling myself I'm going to buy. It would also increase my motivation to transition to working from home full-time, which would mean moving. Things, y u chaeng?

The weather forecast is not always right. I knew I was not going to ride to breakfast with my friends today, as it was forecast to rain at 9:45. I figured I could get a quick spin in locally as the weather was warmer then it has been in the last 2 weeks. I left the house at 8:00 on the fixed gear bike and it got a little damp. I was getting a little rain at 8:10. I kept tapping the rear brake to sense traction. At 8:15 I went to test the brake and the lever had a layer of ice! I nursed the bike to a very slippery stop and got off and walked it through a U-turn. I got back on and rode gently on the shoulder/grass. At 8:20 the township (bless their hearts) salted the road and I was tip-toeing on the side of the road when the read wheel started to skid. The pedals stopped turning :-/ I got stopped w/o falling and looked at the wheel. All was well. I looked at the bottom bracket and the left cup had backed out and jammed against the crank. I was about 2 miles from home and I was walking. I walked about 1/2 mile and some dude (Ted) stopped and offered me a lift. I was home safe at 9:00. At 10:15 I was in Church thanking the lord for a safe return. Ride Safe (Or today = Don't ride) Joe
