I did the same thing looking for P-clamps. Apparently everybody outside of cycling calls them vinyl coated clamps.

Installed headset via block of wood and hammer. Hate it when the brutish methods work so damn good.

Sorry for potato pic.

Today I woke up and got myself hyped up for a day full of climbing with a couple road guys and me being the only guy on a track bike. we ride about 16-18 miles to the start of the climbs and 4 miles into the climbing my buddy almost throws up and says he isn't up for it so we decide to head back with him. I was really looking forward to climbing today since I have been doing a lot more of it to get better at it. still ended up putting in 40 miles so it was not to bad.

Oh well going back sunday.

Today I found out how incredibly out of shape I am when I got beat at the track by a 12 year kid.

Chain dropped my SS spinning at 160rpm downhill...passerby roadies did not offer assistance

Chain stretch or too slack? It's like a month old chain that I haven't touched since putting on.

edit: haven't touched as in haven't looked at or adjust chain tension, chain probably has about 500km on it.

Chain stretch probably made it a little too slack, spinning fast and hitting a bump will definitely help knock off a loose chain

Had the home inspection today. There are a couple minor plumbing issues, but the house is in great shape otherwise. This feeling of dread is finally starting to melt away. Also, I made cole slaw and cucumber salad. I miss NY deli so bad.

Today I went to FYE to sell a bunch of CDs and DVDs. They gave me $35 which will be put towards my trip to Long Beach on the 22nd. This evening I met up with a friend to sell him a set of pedals, straps, and cages for $25.

Today I did a century and the highlight of my ride was: a small girl, barely knee high, said to her mother "that man is wearing different colored shoes." Referring to me as I have one blue and one black biking shoe (if you did not know). So I said to her "I never got good at dressing myself."
other highlights : hybrids with aero bars and aero bars with review mirrors.
