Today my Trash Bags Landfill bag came. I am undecided so far. It's huge and should work well for what I need. Should not have gone the cheap route and bypassed pen slots.

Ditched the butt-rockets (sadly, I wanted it to work) and am TwoFish-ing a cage on each fork blade for Sunday's unsupported 100k. I also made a cue sheet holder which should work great. Tested the whole God-awful setup last night and it all works. My bike has never been more accessorized.

3 strap-on bottle cages.
1 regular bottle cage
Cue sheet holder (made from cut-down clipboard screwed to bolt-type TwoFish cage mount, strapped to stem.)
Cateye computer
seat bag
top-tube bag (holy crap I hate these things, but eating while staying on the gas on rough terrain is much easier with it. YMMV)
F & R lights (will be removed on race day, no need)

Realized that though I have owned this Gitane TdF fixed-gear for more than three years, I have never ridden it out Dixie Drive to scenic Hodges, SC. So I remedied that, and had a lovely hour's ride before work.

Turned out to be an even better find than I knew. It was made by Dennis Kilfoy, and the "Thanks Don" was because this fellow Don helped Dennis build his deck, so he made him this frame as a thank-you. :thumb:

The seller said, "I don't think there's clearcoat over the "Thanks Don", so you can probably remove it if you want to."

I was pumped before because it was a solid frame (Tange Prestige MTB and True Temper tubing) and so beautiful, but now we're super-pumped because of the story behind it. http://www.gigabikes.com/forums/styl...fault/thud.gif

I hate to be the one possibly bursting your bubble...but my understanding is that outside of a couple small groups of bikes that were built in the US, PDG Series Paramounts were made in Asia.

So you either have a real rarity on your hands or else just a really nice Asian built frame (not that there's anything wrong with that ;)). Dennis Kilfoy is still around and making custom frames - I'm pretty sure he is somewhere here in Florida. If you search him out, maybe he can confirm the seller's story or give you the real info about your GF's new frame.

Going to ask the seller what year it was made when I thank him after it arrives. Right now the only clue we have is this build manifest:

"5/11/199_" haha. I also noticed that Waterford does not put serial numbers on their custom frames, but the serial number for this one is "Don Baker", the guy who helped him build his deck.

legs r tired. I'm taking 5 days off next week to visit Maui with my GF. She has a sister there so we'll get insider pro tips.

Anyways I've been trying to wear myself down over the past couple weeks and I've done a good job. On T at track I won every race and the moto warmup in the "B's" field and got myself a mandatory A's upgrade (crap), then went to Fiesta the following morning and did some VO2 max intervals and 1x30' at threshold pace. It wasn't too tiring for my cardiovascular system but my legs just hurt from all the riding.

Tomorrow I'm going to head out for 2.5 hrs of the highest z2/3 I can manage, then be ready to vacay in Hawaii!!

That's pretty cool. Do you get the manifest? It'll look nice framed over the work bench.

The Paramount appears to be rarity. Waterford made about 5 such track Paramounts per year. . . .

Did a 30-mile road ride, changed up a usual route to include some hills I usually don't hit. Those hills looked a lot bigger before I had gears. Now I have to go do them on the SS so I can feel like a man.

I wanted to watch them, but don't have access to the NBC streams. Got some results from Instagram -- GB took men's team sprint with a new Olympic record time, and the women broke the team pursuit world record in qualifying.

Totally forgot to come down with a last minute stomach flu and skip work for the afternoon.

Today I cabled the derailleurs on my road bike.

The job was made somewhat more difficult because of a unique handlebar I am using but I've done it before and it shouldn't be that big of a deal.

Maybe I drank too much coffee or something. I don't know. The whole exercise just left me in awe of the sublime beauty of a fixed gear bike and with the absolute certainty that my next road bike will be Di2.

I think it was Thursday was qualifiers and Sat/Sun are going to be the main events, I don't remember the exact times but it's early sat/sun AM.

Today I realized that I overlooked the pen slots in the bag somehow. Was kind of in a rush earlier, yeah, that's it. A rush.

Mostly qualifiers, but men's team sprint medal races were on Thursday as well.

Just kicked down 48 miles with 3.5k elevation in 2:24 on 214w AP on my new road bike.

Today I did 33 miles. Almost crashed with some idiot who decided to veer left onto the center line of the road, then turn right without looking or signaling while I was coming up behind him at 20mph.
