This 1974 Vintage Raleigh Professional Mark IV, serial number WM4003016, was the top of the line among Raleigh's production bicycles.The 58cm 531 Reynolds steel butted bike comes stocked with all quality condition Campagnolo Nuovo Record components (both derailleurs, headset, crank, bb, shifters, cable guides and brakes), 3TTT Stem and GB Maes Alloy Engraved bars. The bike does reflect its age with light surface rust in areas, faded Carlton stickers and surface scratches however the chrome and bike are in quality condition. If interested I would be willing to sell just the frame and fork if desired at a price of $500.
Note: the saddle (a new Brook B17) and seatpost are not included with the bike.

I've seen better condition and cheaper ($240), but it was gone before I lifted a phone. Or way overpriced as someone already pointed. I believe $500-$700 is a fair price range. If it's your size - go for it! I will stay away

An original early '70's Motobecane Grand Touring in good condition. I went to look at it but it turned out to be 22" and I was looking for 23", and early rather than late '70's (and I didn't need it that badly). Honestly, I was expecting it to be a little higher spec'd, as I'm more familiar with the later '70's Moto's; a later Grand Touring would have a double butted Vitus frame like my Grand Jubilé, cotterless crank. Still, plenty of nice parts on that bike, Pivo randonneur bars, Normandy hubs, Rigida alloy rims. Original Weinmann brake hoods are holding up. It has a really neat Nervar cottered crank, Pivo stem. Frame is 1020.
I told the seller to take more pics and put them up on the ad or at least email them to me and I'll post them here.
If anyone is interested I'll be glad to facilitate. Don't quote me, but I think the price is negotiable.

Up for sale is a vintage Raleigh Sports 3 speed (in hub) in a rare large size 57cm. This is the classic english commuter cruiser. This bike was made in the early 70s in Nottingham England and is clearly one of the few remaining "good ones". The bike is almost all original including the original Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub and shift sytem, chromes steel wheels, chroem cottered crank, short old school stem, etc. Of course as a commuter it also features its original chain guard and fenders. The original Brooks B72 seat died several years ago and the tires are also more recent replacemts (the tires could use replacing as the gum wall is dry and cracking).
I see dozens of these in small sizes but it took me 2 years to find one in a 57cm (seta tube c-c) that was all original. I have owned the bike for 10 years and, as I restore old bikes for fun, this one has to go to make room for incoming projects.
Overall a great about town vintage bike.
