Isn't the chrome one a Voyageur? Good quality, Japanese-built Schwinn (Miyata?). Given the backwards front QR and the ratty tape and saddle, I suspect someone could get this very cheap. It only looks neglected, not mistreated. (This post refers to the Schwinn from Phoenix CL on the preceding page of postings.)
I believe you are referring to this one...

I don't know what it is - I'm in Cleveland until the end of this month, but if I was in the PHX area, I'd be checking it out.

Can't comment on the price(s), but I believe that bidon is a rare piece.

It's probably a 1981 Schwinn Voyageur 11.8 - 12 Speed

Hilarious. If it is so E A S Y to remove, then why hasn't seller removed it. Aluminum seat posts are the ones that can be hard/impossible to remove, short of cutting them out. Its the steel ones

Very nice Trek 720 Touring bike (long chainstay model)
I think it is an '85, but not sure.

I'd keep this one forever, but it's just a tad big at 56cm.
Saw that one,...

Saw a Raleigh I've been emailing the guy about,..God forbid they actually reply!!??....

1960s Jack Taylor bicycle frame Reynolds 531 Super Tourist 56cm

I have a 1960s Jack Taylor Super Tourist frame (Reynolds 531 tourist), which I acquired through a trade from a collector who only wanted the components at the time. The frame has Nervex lugs and was refinished at some point, in the 80s but with the correct Mondrian transfers and well-executed lug lining and and detailing. The frame comes with a BB and HS, but they could use a greasing. The frame has been in storage for most of its life and has one modernization, which is a cable guide at the BB that was added with the new paint I guess. The marks are not paint chips (though there are a few small imperfections) but appear to be wax that wasn't buffed off properly.

Local pickup in Ottawa, Ontario. If you're interested in having the bike shipped, and have a good option, please let me know. I will definitely consider it.

Please see my other auctions for more great items.
I will combine shipping (win more than one auction and only pay for the higher priced shipping).
I will ship internationally (please contact before bidding).
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Wow,.. who cares if its a repaint,..it's a beauty!
To small for me though,.. and I'm to poor now anyway!

I kind of think I should go snatch this up but I have trouble breaking even when trying to resell bikes.

Trek 400 for $50 in Lemoyne PA TREK 400

This should be in the whacky thread as he sort of claims this Murkx could be worth $5000 is it was in "Prime" condition, LOL

Eddie murkx bike limited number made. Older model from the 80s. Hand made in England. Same bike goes for around 5,000 in mint shape. This bike is good shape as seen in photos.200.00 cheap

For anyone into vintage mountain bikes for tall people this looks like a good deal. $30 for an XL Panasonic mtb.

classic 70's Columbia USA tandem, childs seat, original and beautiful. It just looks brand new. Nothing super rare of special... Loving the yellow color with the gumwalls. All round perfect condition from the pics, would take him up if I was in the market for the tandem. Always thoughts the drum brake was really cool...

Vintage Marinoni steel-frame 54cm 12-speed bicycle

[h=2]Vintage Marinoni steel-frame 54cm 12-speed bicycle - $900 (Arlington Heights)[/h]

condition: good
size / dimensions: suits adult 5'7

Price drop. The ideal buyer for this bike is a collector; the main appeal is the lugged tubular Columbus chrom-oloy frame with a classic look and geometry designed and custom-made for me in the Marinoni factory in Montreal in 1985. I'm 5'7" w/29 1/2" in-seam; 54cm(?)
That said, it is not an antique; it is a smooth riding 12-speed (pre-"click-shift") that is incredibly comfortable to ride though the geometry was aggressive for the time. It is also pretty light for a steel frame. The bike weighs 22.5 lbs fully-dressed; not bad for steel..

Campagnolo derailleurs; a numbered gruppo but good at the time
Gipiemme chain-rings, brakes, & hubs. Replaced brake levers & hoods with Shimanos mid-1990's
12-26 Campy (? maybe Shimano) cog. I think those are the specs; I changed it out when I stopped doing triathlons and the riding became more recreational with lots of hills (Montreal).
Selle Turbo seat
"Look" style pedals (by Shimano)
FIR wheels,700 x 22 tires.
The frame is completely "true" but paint is definitely chipped & scored here & there.
A project I've planned for several winters was to strip everything off it and have it restored or do it myself.
Buy it, ride it for a year or two, fall in love with it, then do a full-Campy restore is what the right buyer will probably do.
Also selling a RhodeGear trunk-mount 3-bike rack for $30 (usually $50-80).

I am way behind in going through my CL alerts. This is still listed but I can't imagine it is still available in Orange County at $350 for a Celeste Bianchi. It is likely an Alloro of some sort but with newer wheels.
