1984 Trek 420L pseudo mixte is at my local Salvation Army. Primo condition except tires. Unfortunately $125 + tax. Unbelievably pristine Suntour ARX rear derailer. Lemme know if you'd like me to grab it, or at least have me wait for 1/2 off day if the bike's still around by then.

[Disclaimer: not my bike, not related to seller in any way] If this was a 58 or 60, I'd be out there now I think.. just about the only decent ride that's been posted on Kansas City Craig's List in the past two months.
GMC Denali Men's 21-Speed Bicycle Model 700C-25"/63cm Frame - $100 (Olathe, KS)
Date: 2011-02-26, 7:43AM CST
Reply to: sale-awkcn-2235441858@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
I have for sale a 26" GMC Denali 700C Men's 21 speed road bike. Model OV 52708. I measured the frames size and found it to be 25" or 63 cm, give or take. I picked this up at an auction, so I do not know its age or history. It appears to be in good shape, but the rear tire is flat. I added air to it and it didn’t hold. I have not attempted to repair the hole. One thing about this bike is that it does not have the quick release wheels. The brakes and shifters appear to work fine. I am no bicycle mechanic, so it might need a little tweaking.
Some information I found about this model:
•Frame: Strong, lightweight aluminum frame with aerodynamic tubing
•Handlebars: Road race-style drop handlebars
•Gearing: 21-speed Shimano drive-train with easy twist shifting
•Brakes: Powerful alloy side-pull caliper brakes
•Wheels: High profile aero alloy wheels with machined braking surface
•Tires: 700 x 32c tires for smooth ride and low-rolling resistance
Asking $100.00 FIRM!!! Cash only and no $100 bills please.
Call or text me at 816-506-8911. Or reply by email. Thanks
First Come, First Served. If the ad is still up, there is a 99% chance the bike is still available.

It didn't look tall to me at all, looked a lot like tmh's pic, but with MUCH sexier bar tape. Will return with pics and measurements in a couple of hours, assuming it's still there.

Definitely pick it up, you'll make your money back either way. I would be interested as well, depending on size.

This one is a 21". Effective top tube 20.5" Helicomatic dork disc, so I assume the same of the freewheel. The 20 degree temps don't seem to have agreed with my camera and/or batteries, I'll see if I can get pics up.
I'd only guess about $250 in Portland after $50 tire/tube investment, so not exactly jumping up and down over the $125+tax.

This bike was purchased in the mid 1980’s from the Yellow Jersey Bike Shop in Madison WI. It is a Super Record Export Lady model and the frame measures 45 cm. All of the components (brakes, hubs, derailleurs) are Shimano 600. The seat is a Sella Italia. There are two sets of wheels complete with rear wheel gears. One set of wheels is Fiamme and the other is Mavic. The frame and all the components are in good condition. The rubber on the tires is old and may need replacement.

OTB (Only the Best) French-built frame owned by Sheldon Brown for sale
58.5 cm, repainted now (powder coated), $450 plus shipping from MA
posted to the BOBishbikesFS mailing list:
[QUOTE]In 1971 I was a freshman at MIT and that fall met Sheldon, who was working as a mechanic at the Bicycle Revival. I had a Peugeot UO-8 and Sheldon taught me a ton about bikes and cycling and helped me order my Bob Jackson bike in 1972. At the time, Sheldon's road bike (he didn't have dozens of bikes back then) was an older French frame called an OTB (you can read about its history here: https://www.sheldonbrown.com/otb.html
which I always admired, especially due to its incredibly narrow seat stays.
After Sheldon died, I visited his wife (a wonderful person and accomplished cyclist, who I actually knew before she met him). She asked if there was any of his bikes I was interested in, and of course the OTB came to mind. As you can see if you read the link above, at this point he'd converted it to a gazillion speed bike. I bought the bike, stripped the stuff off it, had it stripped of the brush-coat paint job to inspect for damage, had a small repair done at the seat lug, and had it powder-coated red to honor his taste (see the frame he built for himself in 1974 -
https://sheldonbrown.org/brown/index.html
Sheldon taught me about fixed gear riding, so I set the OTB up as a fixed gear.
About 3 months ago I bought a 1988 Nagasawa road trainer. Now I have two fixies, and the Nagasawa fits me perfectly. The OTB, like other bikes I have, has too long of a top tube, and I don't need two fixed gear bikes.
So - I'd like to find a home for the OTB, with someone who will love that it's a unique 50+ year old French frame, owned and prized by Sheldon many years ago.
Some measurements and details -
ST - 57 C-C 58.5 C-T
TT - 56 C-C
HT - 14.5
CS - 42-43, varies (horizontal dropouts)
WB - 100.5, varies
Sheldon says angles are 72 degrees.
It has the seatpost, headset and bottom bracket that were in it when I bought it. These are nothing special, but they fit this old French frame.
$450 plus shipping (I'm in MA).
