Out of bed at 6am. Shave, shower, dress, pack bike, eat and riding off at 6:35. Arrive at work a bit before 7 (depending on wind/lights/traffic), 15 minutes of cooldown and stretching, 15 mintues to hang out in the front office before starting work at 7:30.

^^^been a while since I've needed an alarm clock also and I love it! I'm up around 4. I'm guessing you're old like me.
Another similarity, my road is like a bike path at that time of day too and you gotta love that!

Bikes: At one point it was a Trek 700 something. Now it have Velocity Psycho wheels, a tape job. Thumb shifters (Shimano Deore). Corncob grouping, and drop bar ends all wrapped up in tape.
I try to get up at 6:30am, but what really happens is I reset the alarm till 7am. I get up, shower, make a breakfast and try to be out the door by 8. Depending on the wind. I'll roll into work at 8:30 to 9am
The next person to get into work comes in at 10am, so it's not a big deal if I'm late. I'll leave at 4:30pm and make it home between 5 and 5:30pm
It's only 5.5 miles each way, but I'm a big guy, with a heavy bike, so I'm pretty slow. Plus stop lights can be a time consumer. I'm in Chicago.

Alarm is set for 0400 (doesn't mean that we actually get up, though). Out the door before 0500. Wife's shift starts at 0600, mine as soon as I can get there- usually by 0645 (unless there is no work to be done). That's being dropped off at one bus station, then taking two buses to get to work.
I had to walk from the closest point in my wife's commute to my work on MLK day; local transit was on reduced schedule. The usual 2 bus method wouldn't have gotten me to work until at least 0900. So I walked the 5 or so miles in under 2 hours. Figure once it gets light enough (or I get a light bright enough), I can do that same route by bike and be able to pick up some extra time through the week.
If I were to ride the entire distance to work and back, I'd be looking at 50-55 r/t.

I started a thread like this one a while ago. It's good to have an update. My schedule has changed with the winter season. I get up between 5:05 and 5:20 AM but don't get on the road until 7:15 to 7:30. I'm doing more prep at home, like showering. I don't work up the sweat here in North Florida during the winter so there's not much need to shower at work. I'd rather ride in with some light in the sky and thus the later departure. The commute is about 6 miles and takes about 25-30 minutes.

I usually get up around 6:00 to 6:30 and am out the door 15 or so minutes later (I lay out everything the night before to facilitate a quick departure). Commute is about 45 minutes and I shower and change at work, so I'm usually ready to start working around 7:30 to 8:00.

Alarm goes off at 6:45am. I actually get up between 7:05 to 7:10. I'm generally out the door by 8:10 or so, with a 20ish minute ride to work (depending on the weather).

I'm up around 6:00, procrastinate until I get the adrenaline rush going and leave by 9:00 to get to work at 9:30ish. Or later depending on how well I do at procrastinating. Leave around 6:00 to 9:15 depending on the day and home in another half hour. It will probably take me a little longer after the thaw comes and I can ride outside again, I'm looking forward to that day.

My usual goal is to get up by 4:30, and leave by 5:30 for my one hour commute, but usually I'm about a half-hour behind schedule. It's no big deal since I don't have a specifically designated start time at work, but usually expected by about 8:00 AM. I leave early to enjoy the diminished traffic. If I leave after 6:00 AM, traffic picks up significantly. During the winter if that occurs, it adds an extra hazard because I need to keep moving in order to ventilate my eyeglasses to prevent fogging.
During the nice weather when training for a century, my ride can be up to 1.5 hours longer, and I adjust accordingly, usually try to leave no later than about 5:00 AM.

Boy, a bunch of crazy-psycho morning people here. Even if I didn't have children to get ready and off to school, there's no way I'd be out that early. Up at 6:50, on the bike around 7:55/8:00, into the office around 8:50/9:00 depending on weather, energy level and traffic lights.
I'm absolutely not a morning person. If I have my way I wake up around 9 or 9:30.

All us guys that get up early though? You need to ask what time we go to bed.

Ummm... pretty much, sorry. I'm an IT guy. Too many all nighters in my lifetime. I usually go to bed 10:30-11:00 and *usually* wake up before the alarm @3:30a. Less if the pager goes off. What I do has to run 24x7x365 or it's hell to pay.

Cheesus, you are a maniac. In fact, that's a huge understatement! I bow to you.

Actually I have an interrupted sleeping pattern which I enjoy. I might wake up at any time of the night and start working on a web site. Way too often I'll wake up around 2:30 get excited about doing something and not get back to bed before it's time to go to work. I am 63 and noticed that I was getting pretty tired by the end of days that started that way, so I have been trying to tell myself "just go back to sleep."

CCrew - your schedule would kill me - literally! I'm rather spoiled when it comes to sleep though, I need 8 hours or very close to it.
I'm usually in bed by 10 and alarm goes off at 6:15. I'm on my bike at 6:30 and in the office at 7:00, which gives me time to shower and grab coffee before I'm at my desk at 7:30.
