no. although there have been a few times where I nearly decided not to ride because it was cold. My iron will saw me through those difficult moments.

here's an update on my balaclava search as I'm sure you are all dying to hear.

I went to a big chain store that sells sporting goods. I asked a sales person where they kept balaclavas and she said, "ohhhh...I think we have sold out. Go up to the ladies section and they will know for sure." errrr. wut. So I asked her if the ski section might be more likely. She was confused by my suggestion and asked why I would suggest that. I asked her if she knew what a balaclava was and she described a sports bra. I gave up.

Fascinating story. I am on the edge of my chair with anticipation for the next chapter.

Seriously, don't they have bike shops in your neck of the woods?

i don't like the shops near me. they suck and are expensive and full of stupid people or arrogant arses. one i did like was a bit further away.

if you had a trailer, you could have taken that home for some burgers.

By the way 10 wheels, I bought that topeak seatpost mounted rack and bag and a bento box as you suggested a few months ago. I'm very pleased but I am a bit concerned about my bike becomeing like your's and machka's.

It would not make sense for you to make your bike look like that for your 15 mile rides in the park

You did good. Just ride more miles. My average ride is 70 miles.
