Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hmm, pretty close.
In case you didn’t notice I was being silly, but I bet that guy could still rip the boards off a track with a little practice. .

Most people on “blood thinners” like Coumadin/Xarelto/Eliquis/Heparin are taking anticoagulants which inhibit blood clotting, typically through blocking action of certain proteins in the blood that are involved in the coagulation cascade. Other “blood thinners” like aspirin or plavix work by inhibiting platelet function.

Thin blood could also conceivably refer to anemia and/or low proteins in the blood, but again this term is not medically accurate.
Ha! You just used it! Water is a good blood thinner.

Air quotes around “thin blood.”

Ever try distilled water? Supposed to cause RBC lysis but I have not tried.

One summer as an undergrad I worked in a receptor biochemistry lab, chopping the heads off rats, and drank double-distilled, deionized water every day. I think we made coffee with it too. Maybe just the distilled stuff. Anyway, I remember no clinical signs of hemolysis.

Similarly put blood in hypertonic saline and witness shrinkage.

Because osmosis.

I just watched that last weekend and had never heard of him and now this. Mind blown. I thought it was a nice little movie with enough complexity to be interesting.

I haven't IMDB'd him but he looks very familiar, like he's probably played lots of small parts.

Citadel is awesome, ACTION PACKED! I have a feeling he's only in SE1 EP1.

You ever ride your bike to work?

I'm wondering if the pilot of this plane did.

I had a nice ride with 4 others but it wasn't what I had in mind. Been wanting to do some longer rides but my one friend doesn't want to go longer and has stopped going to club rides altogether. He wants to try and retrieve some of his past glory. He tolerated me through years of slowness so the least I can do is support him in his hour of need.
I'll probably abandon his ass next week and try something longer.

I have a fancy Fiskars push mower but less and less grass, so I’ve gone to a 18V string trimmer. Need to put that hing on the neighborhood listserv and get rid of it.

It’s virtually impossible to mow our grass with a push mower.
