4 bolt pattern.

kids bike, yes, seriously, I have the whole bike except cranks and pedals. If not, it's back to the dumpsters to find more bike bits :)

Do you know what length you need? Never mind. If it's got 12" wheels, there can't be much choice. I'll ask either today if I stop in, or tomorrow when I go to work. I wonder how big of a chainring I can get in the MTB pattern. Here's the latest project bike which I need the cranks for.

We have a complete bike in top condition that I'd love to get rid of. Nice and pink, so it would suit K now or even the new miss Shaw in about 8 mths time. It would save you the hassle of explaining why you're rummaging around in dumpsters at night instead of getting down to the track for some decent racing.

climbo 12-06-05 03:20 PM

it has a ring on it, probably a 42 or something like that, not easy with 4 bolt MTB pattern to get much bigger I don't think.

I should also mention that I'm looking for some aluminium 20" rims. Anything for the front. And I need a 28h hoop for the rear. And a fork with a long steerer. And a tip full of $100 notes.

48 spoke wheels? That's a bit too many. 36h, perfect. Do you have a photo of it? And the cranks?

HDTVKSS 12-06-05 04:31 PM

i dont have a pic at the moment but ill see if my gf's camera is at my house and ill take a pic of it tonite if i get a chance. if you want it its free of charge btw, just want to get it out of my garage!

That could work. I'm hoping to do a weekend morning ride with him before I move, but his place would also be much closer than Sydney.

Tis the season to be TRAVELLING ALL THE FRIGGIN TIME!

Yes christmas draws near, so it's time for all good Jocks to succumb to the wishes of their better halves and drive up and down the goddamn freeway between Gosford and Newcastle and Gosford and Maitland all so I can get some peace in bachelorhoodland for a few weeks.

So I guess I would be able to drop a BMX bike off to Expat. I'll have to ask the road bikes if they are willing to share rack space tho :D

Hey now there's a thought. Mebee you could come down and check out the Terrigal BMX track if you haven't seen it before.

I'll need a note from someone for my wife, verifying that I didn't pay anyone any money for the bike. And even then, she'll still be cranky.

Terrigal has a BMX track? Heck, I'd like to get out to my local track again.

62vette 12-06-05 07:39 PM

Dear Mrs Expat,

I've never met your husband, in fact I don't even know his real name. However, please take it from me that Mr Expat didn't pay any money (or sexual favours, swap pictures of you in your underwear or make any other form of payment) for the additional BMX bike you now find in your garage. I'm sure the extra bike bits and pieces that your husband acquires each week won't add too much to the shipping costs in your move to the USA.

Regards,
62vette (not my real name)

Brian 12-06-05 07:44 PM

Mate, that's the beauty of a shipping container. One flat price for a 6.1x2.7 metre box. Thanks, I'll show her a copy of the above message. :D

climbo 12-06-05 10:39 PM

go the fro !! Symonds that is :)

Any bets on what the Kiwis can score this time? I'll say 207.

62vette 12-06-05 11:41 PM

Can you please send over the North Sydney under 19s as a replacement for the Oz side for the remaining games? I am giving up on watching cricket myself :(

ed073 12-06-05 11:49 PM

If I'm reading cricinfo.com right.....Symmo scored his 3rd 50 off 16 deliveries!!!!!

What a knock.

climbo 12-07-05 12:02 AM

12 fours
8 sixes !!

96 runs in boundaries. :)

crank'n 12-07-05 12:16 AM

*WA warriors KICKED ass against S/Africa !*
cycling content! ,took acouple of links from the MTB chain this morn'n, doesnt slip no more. Accually when i fitted the new chain i yoused the largest to largest cog method, to loose.
Changed tactic, put the chain on the biggest cog on the front, smallest on the rear with a bit of tension on the derailer, waaaalllllar prob solved. Thinking why, its most likley because the rear cassete is a 34th mega range.

Russ9000 12-07-05 12:17 AM

Kiwis are hitting back 0/86 off 13 overs

Glad there putting up a bit of a fight....

531Aussie 12-07-05 12:26 AM

wish I had Fox :(

Brian 12-07-05 12:27 AM

Climbo - the cranks retail for about $30, I can maybe get 40% off that. You're probably looking at $35 or so with pedals. Jock's offer is looking good.
