Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Brown and McGee out of Paris Nice, other Aussies didn't fair too well on the hilly stage 3, although Alan Davis did pick off the first sprint.

Climbo, are you coming down to watch any cycling events at the Comm games?
We got dudded in the ballot and only ended up with netball tix! Looks like none of the big names want to be down here during the games...even U2 has pulled the pin dammit

netty, aah that sucks, i got one night at the track and field hockey, missed out on the MTB'ing (how can that not be a free for all like the road race?) I don't wanna see anything else really, most of my trip is catching up with friends and eating/drinking.

Not sure why the MTB is ticketed. Probably don't want unlimited amount of crew trashing the wildlife in the national park. we got denied for hockey tix too yet it has never been a sold out event.

Drinking and eating - the two best events of the games

Well, if you look around they reckon the ps3 will cost around US$900 to make so they will sell it for around US$700 or so. This is just speculation

Im not so sure about how easy it will be to crack the ps3/xbox360. No one as yet has cracked the 360 and its been out for a while (remember with the first one they cracked it in about a week). HDCP has already been hacked from a hardware side, but this time, the manufactures are fighting it by suing the people who did it, since they can threaten you with the DMCA.

But enough of that style crap, how was everyone's cycling today? Mine was good, except for some wind on the way home

It seems like the more ******** the topic the longer it goes on for?

Need to remember there is 300 odd million of them over there, bound to be a few loose screws.

Bendigo Madison this weekend

I'll be spending the weekend drunk watching bike races and making a general nuisance of myself in various public houses. Life's great. Can't wait.

Cool send it to info@thylacinecycles.com!

Who's bagging out on the Ellsworths? Sure, they used to impode on a regular basis (disc tabs sheering the seatstays off, Seat tubes popping like it's New Years....take your pick) but apparently they've got them sorted now. Best of all, they've moved production inhouse which is a brave move when every other sh¡t company is running off to China.
