Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bikes: 8 bikes - one for each day of the week!

Once I'm a bit settled here, I'm going to see how I go about getting some of these GSM phones for retail. Anything to keep the missus from having to get a job.

same style of thing just happened to me. Riding home, its school time so itrs busy on this main road near this high school (Waratah), a couple of buses are outside the school, the traffic is slow and busy so I jump in the right lane to pass some of the traffic. Buses pull out traffic is accelerating i thought its time to jump back into the left lane so I sprint to get around this car pull safely into the left lane (no shoulder so near gutter) then I get this horn blast.

wtf

then this council worker is hangin out of the car abusing me. "So I yell out there was plenty of room."
he responds with, "I'll fight ya."
wtf
why do drivers think they are king *****? and why are council workers so dero?

is that the phone outright? Ill drop dead if it is.

The person who wanted the printer, hunt around the computer fairs for an older model. Why you ask?
New printers have the inkjet head intergrated into the ink cartridges, making replacements expensive, there will be no generic cartridges. If you want cheap cartridges you have to do refills which can be tricky if you dont know how to do it (like me)

Older printers use a normal cartridge so you can buy cheap generic cartridges. I bought one for $6 (black) last week and its going good.

I'm guessing that it IS the phone outright. Gawd, I hope you don't pay retail for bike stuff. That would be a travesty.

hey since the razr over here is still expensive (for in reality for what it is) and the latest model is released. I guess we are a bit behind the times here in Aus.

Havent bought much stuff for the bike lately so I dunno if I pay retail or not, I guess it would depend on what im buying and how despereate i am

Had a fun ride in today.

One of the Peleton lads caught up with me on the top of Pymble Hill, said g'day and that was about it. I split two lanes of stopped traffic and plowed on ahead. Didn't see him again until he blasted past me on the crest of a little hill at near 60kmh behind a semi! Sonofabeech. No way I was gonna catch him after that. Maybe I shouldn't have worn the club kit today

They're trying to drum up business by running a mini 'tour' arrangement where you ride your guts out at the Crits and then scurry up the hill to do a time trial at Calga. Can't see it being too popular.

not huge on the idea of crit racing ATM, and i need to get my bunch riding skills up before doing a road race i think. definatley somthing id like to have a look at and somthing ill be wanting to do more of next year. hence why a time trial was appealing as it requires me so slog my guts out for 25 odd kays, whilsnt not worrying about banging hadlebars.

road races start in April, that's the one I meant. If you can ride a dirt crit, you can ride a pack race at Calga, there is only one 180 degree turn, the rest is straight road with rolling hills, dead easy !! You'll also get a good feel for the course before you do a TT over it by doing the road races at a much easier pace first.

no, espcially when everyone knows who the good TT'ers are, and if you win the crit you only get something like a 12 sec bonus - whoopee !

WTF?

I just wanted to know how old Odin was because he seems to be just starting out racing but is flying up the grades. If he's a moderately old farker like myself then it might not be to late for me to get into it and do okay.

Nah, that alright. I just didn't get the connection between my post and your reply. Being from the ****rey I guess I'm just a bit sloooow.

And yeah, I know jocks old. But I just passed him off as a freak, so I thought I'd get some info from a normal mortal.

The big 40 at the end of this year saccy.
I'm not flying up the grades though, that was my 4th race in D. I did one in C to start off with to see if my legs would fall orf.
They didn't, but I have bugger all pack experience, so I'm in D to fix that.

Never raced road before but I've raced BMX, MotoX, Karts and Road m'cycles so I have experience in competitive environments if nothing else.
