Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

as long as you dont want HD that setup is fine.
Make sure the graphics card has tv out (at least s-video)
I would probably buy a new case and hunt around for some silent fans apparently these nexus fans are the best
and a near silent psu
quiet pc stuff from pc case gear is a good place to start.

nothing worse than watching tv and hearing your computer

Ah, what romantic memories have been destroyed by thoughtless criminals...

I only wish we had thought of having our wedding photos taken with a burnout as the backdrop instead of some snotty camellia gardens and the beach.

Might be an option for the forthcoming 10th anniversary - must check if there are any drag meets in early April

thanks for that Pshaw and Mrkotter, will take that into advisement

did a 2 X 8 minute lactate threshold test last night, and got a result of 174 both times. last month i got a result of 172 both times.

is that an improvement or has it gotten worse? or is the difference to little to care?

Wife is an Aussie, lives in US with me, works for Corporate Aircraft Manufactur, they were in Singapore for an airshow, and she decided to stay in this part of the world for a week and visit Family, so since I have never been, I booked flight on Korean Air and 2 days later here I am, hahahah!

6700.00 they wanted, but I used Delta points, so its free! Atlanta GA to Seoul South Korea, 15 hours, then 90 minute layover in SK, and 10 hours to Sydney. Ive gone over 12,000 miles, thats a bloody long way.

coogee bay hotel, thanks for the lead.

Smoothie, pick a nice day and do the coastal walk along the beaches there, take your budgies and go for a swim at Tamarama.

Hitchy's about 700km south of you, but is hardly ever seen on BF these days.

You need a quad band GSM phone from NZ or Australia before it will work in the US (I found my NZ tri band phone was useless in PA,) so if yours is less than quad band it may not work in dingoland.

And never mind the pub, just go to the beach and admire the bikinis (or the bits that might be covered by some of a bikini were it being worn.)

Huh? What was 6700?

Australia is a bloody long way from anywhere. Just how we like it! (Until we have to fly to the US which takes 20hrs or the UK which is 26hrs.)

I will admit to having spent a bit of time on the beach at Balmoral, Chinamans, Narrabeen, Newport and Manly

Sounds like the options were two 10 hour+ flights for free via Korea (would have been $6700) or one 13 hour flight from LAX to Sydney.

Personally I'd pay money and spend half the time in the air. It would have been a lot less than $6700 though - OW!.

Hey smoothie,

Go for a coastal walk. South if you like the landscape (I live in the bay between the beaches there). Or as suggested go north if you want a nicer view than just the land. Coogee is a bit of a boring beach and you'll be stuck with many many backpackers in the area. Jump in a cab, come to bondi for the Sydney city beach thing.

Other than that, get to the pub and enjoy yourself. Should be a warm weekend, if a litlle overcast. Have a swim, water is good right now. Very differnet compared to the ocean you would be used too in Georgia, I have been swimming in Savanah during july. You'll feel the difference.

If he was prepared to pay 6700 bucks for an air ticket, I've got just the (titanium) bike for him!

That's gotta be the price for first class. Nobody sane would think that 268 bucks an hour for a lounge chair represents good value, especially if it's in those newish Boeing 777's. Those things are frikken sweet! Even my lanky 193cms has leg room in Economy.
