Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Trouble doing the Legend ride is that you leave 30mins earlier than the Classic, but from what I can gather, the additional 40Kms are on the first leg to Queenscliff. Means you'll need to move pretty quick to avoid delays at the ferry behind the Classic riders...

Or have I looked at it too much....

classic riders only do the legs from sorrento to melbourne, so there should be no clash.

Route A of the ATB dogs goes in reverse direction, route B ferries from Altona Beach to Sorrento. Dun look like there'll be too much trouble rusty. unless those heavy dual susp mtb bush wreckers sink the ferry.

Sorry Jock, I meant the 210Km ATB, not the 100Km Classic. That offers clockwise or anticlockwise route options.

I reckon if you go 210Kms anti-clockwise (Route B), you should get to Queenscliff before the Legends - if you are a legend, you'll be looking at your lunchbox for a while at Queenscliff.......

Nup, you're farked. It's all the chemicals and GM ****e you eat. It's tuning your mellon to sludge already.

Interestingly, a quick Google shows Australia second only to Japan among large populated countries.

Bikes: Thylacines...only Thylacines.

There are mountains in Utah. Apparently though most of them are attached the the front of Aussie ski-bunnies.

I've just come back from the...um.....my wifes' (yes royale, I said WIFE!) grandad's funeral and are super-tanked already. Freakin' brother-in-law is a power drinker and I'm having a tough time keeping up. *looks at watch*...only 3pm.....fark me....I'm screwed....

I e-mailled those Frenchies with the stupor-light rims. Hopefully they'll e-mail back so we can make some sub 1300g mtb disc wheels sometime into the future. Gawd, it took me 5 goes to spell 'futut.......hahahah!.....future!

Hey, get this; Last winter I bought a Specialized vest. Cost me a good dollar but hey, I wanted something decent. The bludy zip was dodgy from the start. It kept getting caught and was a ***** to put up and down but I persevered, (why I don't know except that the shop, Northside Avanty +, are not that close to where I live). Anyway, this season the zip gave up completely, won't stay closed. So I takes it back and they tell me it isn't warranty because the zip isn't covered by warranty???? Like I'm supposed to pay $85 a year to wear a bludy Specialized freekn vest. And Tony Whiteside is a fellow Warratah!
Am I being screwed or what?
