Q: What's the difference between a wallaby and a guinea pig?
A: You don't need tape for a wallaby!

A: A buffalo is a hoofed creature that roamed the American Plains. A bison is what you wash your bloody face in, mate.

Very droll.

However, if I can buy a media blaster for 60 bucks, I think I might start doing them in a 'speedblast' finish. (Called 'speedblast' of course because it only takes 20 minutes to do instead of 4 hours) The other option I'm considering is shot-peening, but that scares me. "Hi there, here's a 3600 buck titanium frame I want shot peened. Be careful though, the tubes are only 0.9 of a mil thick."

Is there an embrittlement issue here???
Need to know - I've been putting together a spec for you for a Ti bike to do bunch rides (races!!) and randonneurs. I want a bike I can pass on to my descendants.

Anyone have or know of an available set of Mavic Cosmic wheels - clinchers carbon/aluminium units.

Generally, you're not allowed to post WTB in a thread. Of course, the damage is already done. In the future, please request that other members send you a PM. Bad form to post your email address. Anyhoo, looks like you're set.

Since this is a bike forum, I dunno what their policy is, even if they have one. (wanna cut in Expat?)

The forums can't contribute to illegal activity. Don't know how rigorously that gets enforced, as we can't generally track down every link. My suggestion is to offer a link or whatever by PM, rather than linking to something in a post.

jock 05-09-06 08:38 PM

You nicked some sand from Newcastle Beach to take with you to Utah. Hmmmm...

I can only imagine that it has been suitable enriched with the sweat of a bikini clad Vodafone Beach Volleyball girl :D

Thylacine 05-09-06 08:58 PM

Hang on.....appart from the mountains and the local Mor(m)on cemetary, isn't Utah just one big beach minus the fun bits?

An anyway, it's not a farken bison, moit, it's a farken SINK!

Ozbiker, what embrittlement issue?

Doubtful. It's from Horseshoe beach. If it's enriched with anything, I don't want to know about it.

Hmmm. We have the empty lake, and one with water. Lots of snow too. I am slowly learning that Utah is full of Mormon prudes like Australia is full of convicts...

That's a bit hard to enforce... I've seen people at the beach that could easily smuggle a couple of kilos of sand in their arse cracks.

Thylacine 05-09-06 09:04 PM

Would you like us to send you some stolen beer and pron Brian? :D

Depends if you're talking about hydrogen embrittlement or some form of embrittlemant caused by shot peening.

If you have any specific questions, drop me an e-mail and I'll be happy to fill you in.

You can buy beer in the grocery store here. I think you need to go to Wyoming or Nevada for the other.

jock 05-09-06 09:44 PM

Red or Orange cap?

HDTVKSS 05-09-06 09:45 PM

Expat, they had the southpark - Mormon episode on last night. made me wonder about how (in)sane ppl are down that part of the world. quite fruity.

Shame. Red cap is the 'true' Bundy OP. Just a capful can run a Hummer for about a week.
