Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The bike shop is recommending a new bike to the insurance company. It's a hell of a way to get an upgrade

Now what to buy ??? Maybe I should start a thread on it - NOT

Apparently Joe had some 'database issues' and stayed up all night trying to fix them, accoring to Patty.

Damn technology, it's such a beyatch sometimes (ergo, my foray into firewalls, routers and port-forwarding).

So what are we looking at, 531? Lance and Greg letting themselves go, having one extra twinkie? I'd say 'welcome to my world', but I don't have a body full of buckshot, and both testicles seem to be okay.

Ironically, they'd still spank us both.....hungover with one gimpy knee and a bent rear derailleur hanger.

a guy on the Serotta forum said he saw Lemond do a talk a couple of years ago, but
apparently all Lemond would talk about was selling his bikes.

Gee, and I always thought that the institutions that SAVE lives were ones like Amnesty, The Red Cross and Medicins Sans Frontiers! Turns out it's the MILITARY that saves lives! I've been wrong all this time! Shame on me!!!

Farken morons.
Someone should remind this turkey that most of the titanium in the world comes from Oz - and he's got the nerve to tell us how best to put it to use.

If we told them they couldn't have any more I'm sure they would just come and take it - it's unlikely that too many lives would be "saved" doing that!!!!

Knowing the toss-buckets over there, the talk was probably ABOUT his bikes. They were just too busy reapplying their brown lipstick to notice the sign on on the door.

Kotter,

school holidays are a week away so I'm guessing there'll be plenty of opportunity for riding once they start. Missus hasn't lodged her flight plan yet, so can't be sure. She might spring a surprise and stay home this time.

Hard man of the week award goes to TAT's own Jock who i bumped into last night at the train station looking like a wet, cold shivering wreck after his commute in the rain.

Hey guys, do any of you participate on local forums (like the Bicycle Victoria one or bicycles.net.au)?

Just curious.
