Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sometimes I wonder why I even bother living here. Don't shop here, don't frequent any Aussie forums, 95% of the frames go overseas....little Johnny is a racist, sexist, popularist *unt.............I'm sure Patty will chime in any second *laugh*

out of curiosity, how many frames are you managing to move per month / year?

This month it's four, but it varies wildly. The aim is to get to a point where I can quit doing design consulting and go with Thylacine full-time, but not get so busy to the point where I have to compromise customer service to the shameful levels that other custom bike companies stoop to.

The big game plan is no more than about 100 or so frames a year, but that's a looonnnggg way off. IF does about 1200, for comparisson.

Good work Cookie!! Pity that Unibet got ripped off with no start at the TdF. Especially as the organisers have now bounced one of the Spanish wildcard teams.

Here we are fellas, 9 days to the tour

Can Millar win the prologue?

It is more like a 4k ip, and I dont think jens lehmann used to do much road work iin preparation, though he rode for nurembuger div 2.

DZ, and Hincapie are the only ones who will beat him I think.

next line is Wiggins, Boonen, Hushovd, Chavanel, Kashechkin.

Savoldelli Valverde Vinokourov Periero Voigt Julich Ogrady Lang Ullrich Landis E Gutierrez Karpets Chavanel Leipheimer Rogers Zubeldia Grabsch Geslin Pineau Hunter Pozzato, Backstedt, Flecha Sinkewitz VeloSteegmans Horner could all come top ten, but wont win.

then Brochard Nozal Lovqvist Eisel Bennati Velo Evans Basso.

Basso Ullrich and Evans most likely will be top 20, don't expect any to win. Ullrich is an outside chance.

Of those above, almost any could take it, except the bottom line. They might make the top ten

Has SEN off the bike moved to friday nites now?

HDT, there's no friggin way you'll be allowed to go racing on the weekend, but I'll bring the pump up anyway. It needs to get out for some fresh air.

well you got me!

Is SBS broadcasting it in HD? Because that would worth it to upgrade to to a HDTV.

I brought a HD set top box for my supposedly HD compatible big Philips TV and can't get the mofo to work. Works on the yellow red and white inputs but not the green blue red component inputs. I know the HD box is working and suspect faulty component inputs on the tv. bastid technology.

Ya need to configure your RGB inputs, kiddo. And don't ask me how it's done, 'coz I have a projector instead of a TV, which means my image size is way bigger than yours.

hey 531, have you heard any of my other stuff, either as Dario Cipollini or Rowan Museeuw?

I might ring in tomorrow night, as forearms Van Petegem.

I am getting some stuff published on Dailypeloton.com. Hopefully have an article or two on Paul Crake and Heinrich Haussler on PelotonPress.nt in the next months too.

That Robert Gesink I asked Walker about, he is a star. 19 years old, and he rides uphill like Evans (almost). He also has a tt engine. Might have an interview in the works with Walker. Will link when it is in the can.
