Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bikes: 8 bikes - one for each day of the week!

It's a his/hers bike, but that would do some damage to anyone, concave or convex.

Who was looking for a torque wrench? This one looks cheap an they have a distributor on the central coast. (www.softride.com.au)

FWIW, I was only looking cause I saw 2 at the track tonight, I'm not about to cut the sleeves off my jersey!

Shame they don't tell us whether it's 1/2, 3/8, or 1/4 inch drive.

Well, contrary to popular belief, it was not Paul's sister. Dunno exactly. It may have been as simple as a dry patch that got irritated, and I may have scratched it in my sleep. It was raised, lumpy, red, and a bit angry on the edges.

I'm not one to take chances with things like that, and when I realized that one thing or another had been in that spot for at least a couple of months, I booked in at the Skin Cancer Clinic. The took a chunk of me to send to the lab, and checked out all the other little questionable spots I had.

Better to be on the safe side. And always wear your sunblock.

Cheers everyone

Scots/Aussie/Kiwi discussing sheep preferences.

Scotsman says he puts their fleece on the barbed wire fence, so they cant run away.
Aussie says he puts their back legs down his gumboots, so they cant run away.
Kiwi guy says he just rolls them on their back, so he can kiss them

Ah, see we breed much more compliant sheep here

BTW, I have a room to rent in 2011 for RWC test matches - $100 per night for Pommies, Scotsmen and Paddies; $500 per night for any Antipodeans whose union voted for Japan on Thursday

Ungh, remind me never to go mtbing with fit bastards. I hurt in places I didn't even know I had.

Pulled 4hrs out at Lysterfield on Satdee. There were actually other mountainbikers out there! *gasp*. It was funny running into three guys who all rode Specializeds....but then I realised half our group were on Thylacines, so I guess that means we're ******s too.

Quitely impressed we're on Part 4 fellas. Soon we'll be rivalling Seinfeld.

did a 4 hour enduro MTB race out at western sydney on saturday. 6 laps and 50 odd kays later i have one hell of a sore back . damn camel back tweaked my back on the 1st climb in the 2nd lap and was looking for somewhere to ditch the back pack however the fact that it contained my wallet, keys and mobile didnt make it a good idea!

was a great day but wish i could walk properly today!
