Look for Simon Gerrans to try and get in a breakaway & spend some quality time in the hurt-box.

I agree, Robbie looked like he knew Boonen was the man and marked him too closely on the first stage.
Last night he looked like he believed he was the fastest guy in the race and went out to prove it..good stuff!
Does Boonen look off his game? Last year he was smashing everyone in sight..?

Yeah, from the back of the knees up it's all good. Then I scrolled down and the FMBs just deflated all interest immediately

sorry bout that fellas, I couldn't help myself.
Noone was biting... although it was the middle of the night over there. Shoulda waited.
I was trying to figure out how to include a reference to the dive Baden took in last year's Giro, drawing that outrageous penalty from poor innocent Paolo.... but it seemed too long a bow

I'll take Pozzato on a flyer, 'pipping' Valverde. Or if it's a bunch kick I reckon Boonen, he'd still have legs after the climbs. He might be a tad hungry now too.
My heart says McEwen for the hat trick! There'd be some decent odds on that.

Might have to cut back on the brews. Gave the liver a good soak last night then defied all sensibility tonight and did a couple of decent sets of flying 200s to warm up the vomit gland. Then a latecomer invites me into a 10 lap cruise at 38. Bugger me if I'm not out the back door after 4 laps (1750m!!!).
Guess I'm toast in this week's Snowball event.

Don't you read the club newsletter (you know that thing that you used to publish!
)
Track stuff is Tue night in winter. Toss a couple of bucks to the athletics club to help keep the lights on and bob's your auntie. Tonight was quiet with just me, Stuart Eddy, and Brad Magus thrashing about. You can't join in anyway until you get your pain problems sorted out, eh.

The Avanti add is easy enough to ignore. Its the Skins add and the Maquarie Bank add that haven't changed from last year that annoy me the most.

Fukn soccer. Stop watching the tour for a night and the whole peleton crashes and smashes themselves to bits. Just my luck. Race will probably be boring as batpiss once the soccers over and it's the only thing left to watch.

a collar bone smashing competition! evidently the flat stages are too boring and needed to be spiced up, WWE style. After all, we all know the yank punters love a good crash derby!

Old Man Voigt broke away with some other guys. They stole all the intermediate sprint points.
Velvet Deer fell down and broke his collarbone. Everyone else in the peleton thought that looked like fun and gave it a go too.
Boom Boom and Aerogard were setting up to see who was the fastest rider up an 800m hill when The Hustler chucked it into overdrive and rode straight past them for a very surprising win after all the work he did yesterday. The Artful Dodger followed him and took 2nd to place him only 1 second off the yellow.
