Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

LOL, he's only got one speed...reeeaaaallllyyy slow.
He pretty much refuses to climb anything, I've kinda lost patience with that group and started riding with one of the young blokes who's keen to tackle the hills!

More than likely yes. And it also means we don't have much time to get this pump delivered.

Delhi Rd? You've only got the Lane Cove National Park nearby. It has seal roadways from Delhi Rd at the bottom to Lane Cove Rd at the top, but you might find singletracks have been carved out by renegade MTB hoons.

Might be something in Garrigal National Park (near the Roseville Bridge) for you tho. Very steep climbs either side of the creek, and lotsa walking tracks that you could probably use as singletrack.

i know that the other side of lane cove Rd has the great north walk and several MTB trails, im jsutn ot sure how to get there from this end of town as i normally duck in and out at epping. the only entrances i know for sure are at epping, and on kissing point road just off the comenara.

Bikes: Thylacines...only Thylacines.

"Green stools are basically normal....Bile is a fat-digesting substance that is secreted in the first part of the small intestine. It has a brilliant green color. That color is how the mixture of food and digestive juice actually appears in the small intestine. Eventually the remaining mixture of undigested food material and digestive juices, which is now a waste product, reaches the colon for elimination. Bacteria then break the bile salts down into simpler substances which are darker in color. Hence the material that will be passed as stool normally undergoes a progressive color change from green to more yellow to brown. So green stool simply means that the mixture of food and digestive juices is passing through the large intestine faster than normal"

And now back to my Pumpkin Soup.....

Any tips for tonight's stage? ~230km with a couple of pimples and a 'hilly' finish to hurt the sprinters. I'm guessing sprinters favouring the intermediates and the finish contested by wannabee climbers or O'Grady to go for a break on the 2nd Cat 3 climb (with about 200km to go) only to get caught with the finish line in sight.

Pshaw, the link you gave descibes most of the trails i know around my place that im aware of, i.e on the epping / pennant hills side of the park. i had a look on whereis.com.au and there seems to be an entrance on lane cove road, between the M2 and lady game drive, i THINK that may be OK and im sure ive seen it as i drive past, but i dont know if its walking trail or riding trail, or even paved. if your riding the M2 on your roadie maybee scoot on down there and check it out as its not too far.

other than that, if you can get to kissing point road in turramurra which is only a 10 - 15 min drive from delhi road you can hit a big network of trails. im sorry, i just dont know where the trails i ride link up to in there as ive never had a need to look! on the weekend i may hit it up on sunday morning so if you want ill see what the street names are on the exits that i go past.

i havent looked, but MTBR.com may have some advice in their trail guide section. if you get into the pennant hills section there some ripper rock gardens on some of the walking trails that you would love. fair hike on a MTB when you only have an hour tho from delhi road.
