Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

So you fellas. It seems I have strained or pulled my Biceps Femoris down near where it goes across the back of the knee. It's fine if I can keep it stretched and straight. Left the leg stay bent for a while and it tightens and gets sore. What yous rekon to get it better? Stay off the bike and take it easy? Or do some light riding to losen it up?

But by the weekend, she had started packing his belongings into his 4WD BMW, parked under her apartment complex....

"I wanted blood last night and now I think I'm OK," she said.

Which probably means that all his things got trashed or burned, including the beemer

Hmmm. Eight years of school for 50 words of Spanish.

To those aussies that know about Newcastle Bike shops. I went to the cranky/vocal/chew your ear off guy in Adamstown today. He barely talked to me! (I must smell or something) Its only cost me $15 to fix the wheel, where hadleys said I would need to buy a new one. *shakes fist at expat*

I bought some paint today as well, the bike should/will be a nice forest green this Australia Day.

1) $15
2) come back before 6 or tomorrow
3) if you want front cones bring the front wheel with you.

Now Ive remembered I need help to get the locking nut off the rear wheel.

Yup, been here 50 years and still sounds as unintelligible as the day he arrived. Just imagine he's one of the french knights from Monty Python's Holy Grail ("you seelly eenglish kaniggits") and you'll be able to understand him betterer. As long as you haven't passed out from laughing that is.

I've gone in there, and couldn't understand a word he said. I was looking at a bike that was my wife's size, and asked the price. His response? "That won't fit you!"

Not me! Not even on a hot day.

I could however use one if I ever make a podium.

After three weeks of fish, pasta, and vegies I've caved... just 2 days before the wife comes home. Sat down to the best pepper steak I've ever had at the local italian resto, taste buds are in heaven! Chef even asked me how I wanted everything done. I love slow nights in the kitchen

Maybe I'll skip racing tomorrow night to fit another one in Yummmmm

Hey jock, why are you off the red meat while your wife's away? To get to race weight or such?

Nope. It's called bachelorhood, or as my wife puts it: laziness.

I hate cooking for one, so everything has to be ready in 5 minutes or its off the menu. Veges take no time, Vetta make an express pasta which cooks in 3-4 mins, and the super sells microwavable fish that cooks in 5 mins.

Mind you, the lead and mercury levels in my body have skyrocketted. And I'm hoping the dioxin saturation won't be too high. That one piece of beef might have had enough hormones and steroids to balance everything out tho.
