Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

ive always thought of getting a couple tattoos. in like a crusty, punk rock kinda way. but maybe a little artsy. my maternal grandfather (a Mexican) raised the family on a business he owned, a fine men's wear store for tailored suits and that kind of thing. the logo of the store was Picasso's Don Quixote scribble. Wouldn't that make a cool tattoo? Is it too late to start at 39?

I have never seen a tattoo that looks good.

I consider those involuntary alterations.

That's borderline, unless you knocked out the tooth intentionally, just so you could replace it.

A friend sent me pictures from an old club page that I thought was closed. Lots of pics with me in them. Here, I'm in front of the typical large Sunday group.

I don't think a picture that is made to fit within the limits of a rectangle lends itself to body art, since bodies aren't shaped like that. Well, MOST bodies aren't. Maybe just get a nice framed print of it instead.

agreed, would leave out Sancho Panza, the windmills and the sun. so just Don Quixote on the horse. that is what the logo was to my abuelo's store.

I would consider a permanent cat 6 chainring tattoo for my right calf.

If it is a small number of teeth you don't "need" them to survive. Voluntary.

Let your chain get real dirty, then have an accident where the teeth dig into your flesh deep enough that the dirt doesn't grow out with the skin. Voila! I have one from a pencil point that got stabbed into my hand in high school, so >50 years ago.
