I would skip having it on your neck or forehead. A tear in the corner of one eye would be a nice accent - and people will not mess with you,

Very creative and no doubt effective, but will stick henna. Will skip the pencil point too. Just not feeling it. 😑

I believe this is mostly due to the inconsistent way city limits are drawn. a CSA or MSA comparison would be much more meaningful. what these cities (other than Dallas) actually have in common is very small official city limits relative to the metro areas they anchor.

66-70 and sunny? it’s literally within a few degrees of the ideal outdoor temperature for human comfort when resting and perhaps a few degrees too high for activity.
The ideal conditions for a resting human body fall into a range called the thermalneutral zone, where the air temperature is between 20°C and 25°C, or (68-77)°F, with little wind and moderate relative humidity. Under these conditions, a resting body can easily maintain its core temperature. Outside of this narrow range, the body's thermoregulation responses take over.

Add 5-10 degrees, and you've got San Mateo.

Upstate NY cares not the least about ideal range. Whenever the temperature happens to accidentally fall into that “ideal” range, NY can’t wait to jump to either a higher or lower temperature. Doesn’t matter which, just so long as it isn’t “ideal”.

Summer temps and humidity are one of the main sticking points for us when it comes to moving Back East. It seems like it's popular with Olds to move someplace where you spend at least half the year living in air conditioning and rarely going outside. I don't get it.

Of course the other side is an actual winter. We had snow and cold temps but stayed active. Lots of snow rides on the mtb, tried XC skiing a few times, and hiked in the snow with a picnic lunch when we could. We both drove down to the lowlands for work, which was the biggest detriment to living there.
I loved living there. Wanted to go back with the current Mrs but she is afraid to go. The other problem is fire insurance. And the increasing possibility of a forest fire.
If I could live near the coast that might be ideal. Too bad I'm not a millionaire.

The last house we lived in was just a few miles from here. I bought a pretty big window unit but when it got over 105 or 110 degrees the head pressure would get so high it would trip the circuit breaker. I put a fan outside to blow on the condenser and that seemed to help.

Cycling related content. As many know, I purchased a Canyon bike this year and there was a two week delay for promised delivery. To make things right, they gave me a $300 credit on anything in their catalogue. (Probably a value of $100 in their costs, but they didn’t have to). They were excellent in communicating with me through the entire bike build and the customer service people always got back to me the next day with any questions or issues. One of the reasons I bought a Canyon was servicing at REI stores, which there are many in the PNW. When I had an issue with cadence not being picked up, and REI stated that warranty repairs take longer on Canyon bikes, I brought it up to Canyon and they immediately put their REI liaison on it. (Just got a text while writing this that my bike is ready at REI - they have had it two days, so their liaison must have spoken to RE.). When I told them I decided to forego waiting for the extended period for a warranty repair and would pay out of pocket, Canyon immediately stated they reimburse me. I am so impressed with their customer service and doing the right thing. Am still rather shocked in this day and age of corporate apathy toward the consumer that they continue to go above and beyond.
