Today I learned about Rocket Lab, an Australian company that launches rockets into space.
They recently launched a scramjet aircraft. Which is something, for sure, but what caught my eye was the name they gave to the mission. It could be the most Australian name ever:

A former colleague emailed me the Big Boy schedule this morning. I was slightly off. It’s going to pass about a 10 minute walk from my house and then run right along side a very popular MUP. It’s going to be sooooo cool! Need to pick the perfect spot to watch. I think the spot near my house has no fence to interfere with photos.
I can't wait to see it pass on it's final leg to Philly!!

had planned on taking the TT bike out today and crushing a couple local flat segments. one of them is about a mile at 29.5 MPH. but with a typical prevailing onshore wind that should be no problem. at any rate its wet on the ground so thats gonna happen another time.

TTT tomorrow! There is one other team (Shockwave) in our age division that will be fast. 4-man (combined) age 140+. It will be a challenge to beat them, we'll see how this goes. In any event, it's such a fun race and I look forward to hammering out this 23 miles with my teammates as fast as we freaking can!
