Not so long ago Amazon deliveries took weeks. Now? Two days is a longer wait than normal. I believe there is a warehouse very close by (how else could they do it?). Such a delight. Here in the land of not being able to get anything useful even after driving the 25 km to the city.

It’s pretty amazing. I can’t say that I understand it, but the musicians do.

I've had 2 extractions, a root canal, some fillings and 2 crowns in the last few years. Not to mention 3 cleanings and multiple x-rays every year. Insurance only pays a little bit of it.
Mrs John has never had a cavity or any dental repair. Ex wife was the same way, perfect teeth, never a cavity.

Do you order items just to see how long delivery takes?

I didn't have anything until I was in my 30s. Since then I've had a crown or two, fillings, and two teeth that spontaneously cracked down the middle.
Redundant categories.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

All over, neither here nor there.
When one stops cycling, having 6 bikes suddenly becomes ridiculous.
In the process of re doing my fence. Took time off from work to get it done, and then lowe’s lost my order. So now, I have zero personal time left and only about 2.5 days off per week from the rest of my life.
I now have more basses than bikes. And my home gym is 90 percent complete. That’s about sums up my life at the moment.
Oh, I cut down a bunch of trees at my house a couple weeks ago, one of them required me to be on a ladder. I swear the tree was falling on top of me so, I gracefully fell of the ladder and F my right ankle up pretty good. It had stopped hurting but apparently pedaling this morning caused the pain to come back. Just another thing in my life telling me to stop riding for a bit. When I walk up the stairs it feels like I have clothing dragging down the back on my ankle, but i’m not wearing clothes…….

On today’s ride, I loaded the route but somehow my computer was messed up and it was clearly not working correctly. I told one of the other riders (who works in IT) who said just turn it off, turn it on again, and reload.
It worked!
My friend visiting from California is a retired pilot. He said they had to do that with the Airbus sometimes.

Had a good group ride today with 15 other sickos. Weather was perfect except for a prevailing head wind on the way out. The only bummer was getting a hammy cramp with 3 miles to go. Got off the bike, worked it out and finished fine behind the group. I am a good mid-pack rider. The strongest guys were blazing and would dump the group on the climbs and on a 5 mile straight - where it was an all out race. Hung in there doing about 24 in a paceline and would was always mid pack on the climbs. My effort score tells the tale. All in all it as a good half day on the bike.

Yes.
Basically, 2 years ago something happened. Don’t know what. Was making awesome gains, ftp was the highest it had ever been, was on my way to have it above 300, and my body just snapped. Went from super strong to not being able to complete a work out. Months of fatigue just forcing myself to ride to ride. Everytime I thought I was getting out of it something would happen, I would get sick and feel like I was starting completely over again.
Cycling became a chore. I was forcing myself to do it and holding myself to some standard that I couldn’t meet. I got a coach and that seemed to help my moral, but then I got sick again.
Cant wrap my head around the fact I have continued to ride for the last 7 years, everyday that I possibly could with my job. I peaked at year 5, and then it’s like all my fitness everything I put in has just disappeared.
I can’t figure out if it’s in my head, if it’s physical, if I just lost the drive.
So now i’m lifting, I ride my bike for about an hour after lifting for cardio purposes. I still hate running. I’ll see where this takes me.

Poke me if anything I can help with.
