Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Werkin, do you have a specs list for your bike? I'd be interested to know what wheel size that is (26" or 28"?) and who makes the tires seen in that photo.

The wheel size is 650b (584 BSD), rims are Velocity P35, tires are Grand Bois Hetre.

If you flipped your stem and moved it to the top of the steerer tube, would you still have the same geometry as now?

Referring to a bike as "my baby", "she", and "adorable" just doesn't seem right.

I guess when you have a wife and a real baby (who happens to be an adorable girl), feminine pronouns take on a more specific meaning.

But it looks really nice! I too love the frame color.

newest ride defy adv.1

Kinda disappointed I could only find the word "Giant" 21 times on my new bike. I hope people don't think it's a Trek.

LOL! Thanks! I failed to capture the saddle color as it has red element as well (romin evo expert).

Can't reply your pm as I only have 10 posts (50 min.)

Took a bunch of pictures. I don't understand your second request. Hopefully these will cover it.

I totally agree on all counts. That, IMHO, is the best looking bike Cannondale has ever made.

Yes, but I think it would be far worse if he were to refer to it in the 'masculine'.
"I love riding this dude. I gave him a real pounding on the cobbles and he begged for more".
I think sticking with the feminine references is just fine with me. ;-)

+1, Machinery is always referred to as female as machines need to be very finely tuned, require a lot of maintenance and let you know when they need attention, but once all requirements are met, the world (humanity) could not continue without.

I'd suggest Giant branded waterbottles and cages, and maybe ride in Giant brand jerseys as well. That should help the experts identify your favorite brand!

maybe, but if it is the same thing? Really, I would prefer a bit shorter stem flipped in the position it is now.
