Haha! Good news! Kind of. I just have 3 pairs of half defective headphones! I busted out the big old skull candies, and sure enough, they work with it. Plugged in the other pairs I tried on the ipod in another ipod and neither worked on one side! Yessss.

my shuffle is indestructable it has been washed twice. My classic died, it works but no sounds out of the head phones. I found a submerged nano in a lake in the NY mountains and we brought it back home and it charged and worked but the backlight is out and the batt drains quick. All in all it seems very hit or miss. Either the apple stuff dies way too soon, or you can never kill t at all.

If you got 2.5 years out of an iPod Nano you drag round on your friggin bicycle, it doesn't owe you anything. Besides the last generation iPod Shuffle 2GB (I have two of them) is better for cycling. You can buy them all day long on eBay for $50. I love 'em. The newer Shuffles suck. Get this one.

I actually had one of those shuffles, the blue one. Then I traded it for my first clipless pedals.

Also, I just rode for EXACTLY 21 minutes. Don't know how that worked, but it did, to the second. If anyone can guess how many miles I did to the 1/10 of a mile (hint: sucks) you win a prize.

I am almost certain that being run over by a car is not part of the testing they put the iPod through. The fact it did survive means they are built to last.

I would have said it with sarcasm, I was kidding. Kind of hard to express sarcasm through the internet.
I'd buy another ipod in a sec if this one died.

what is high end? I love my mtb, though I don't ride it nearly enough. Did you find a 4th for the 24 hour race? I always wanted to do one but I have no friends. I wish more young people liked riding.
Pcad. The two people who finished directly behind me in my last race were named fred and fred, should I take this as a sign?
