Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That SH AWD is the shizzle. Absolutely amazing in all conditions. By far the best AWD system on the road I've ever driven. We drove down to Manhattan in late February on the night of the biggest blizzard up here ever, and we were going 50 mph on the snowpack no problem. Never had a car that would do that before. The car won't get turned sideways by traction loss in the snow and higher speeds like every other car I've owned, including some AWD cars.

Acura's system diverts power front to rear and side to side as dictated by traction loss, no other system out there does that, and it really does work, particularly in the snow, but also on wet pavement.

Love the car. I've owned it now for 3.5 years.

Those are mid-weight gloves. I have heavier gloves I wear all winter. This was a race in March.

Can we see your heavy winter gloves ? All my parts made it thru the winter in good shape except for my fingertips. They are still mad at me for what I put them thru. I bought the heaviest cycling gloves I could find, put hand warmers in them, still to little avail on real cold days.Youre one of the few nuts I know who rides alot more in the winter than I do so Id be interested in what you wear.

Giordini gore tex ski gloves just like these.

But get heavy gloves that work for skiing, those work for winter cycling. My hands stay warm down to 10ºF on the bike, that's the coldest temps I've ridden in.

The irony with the motorist who stated we shouldn't be on the streets of NYC should keep in mind that for years the city has been trying to keep motorists out, especially the one person per car crowd, by making it tougher to bring your car in.
yeah, i replied last night under the handle broke_away. damn, the 41 has made me a sucker for feeding the trolls. i do, however, stand by my moniker as i successfully broke away to win a collegiate race last weekend.

I think he ought to quit that sorryass team and join one with a better kit...one that coordinates better with the bike. That's true OCP.

He'll come around, mark my words . . . time will tell.

While showing off pictures of racing, I am the fat one on the yellow bike, the one roughly half the price of everyone else's wheels. (I also feel bad about only ever making fun of pcad's pics without giving him anything to make fun of me about)

The fact it's not high modulus carbon is very disappointing.

I'm pissed. After only 2.5 years of use, my ipod nano is at the end. Only gives me music through one headphone. I tried several pairs of headphones, it's not that. I found other people had this issue. These things just ain't built to last.
