Oh by the way, I get an email from the guy who caused the crash Sunday. Something about hitting some dip in the road and losing control of his bicycle. Let Uncle Pcad boil the bullshlit away for you: I wound up behind the wrong idiot on the Nyack Ride and I paid the price.
Hey, he got hurt worse than me. Perhaps there is justice in that, but it's small comfort. I'd rather this whole stupid incident had not transpired. No hard feelings of course, shlit happens in cycling, particularly in racing or fast group rides. I told him not to feel bad, if a seasoned pro like Jens Voigt can lose control of his bike on a straight smooth descent, it can happen to any of us. And so it can.
In other news gsteinb had his collarbone operation today. Hope he's OK.

Pcad, there are virtual children who read and participate in this thread. Do you feel responsible for influencing them one way or the other?
Is this the ask Pcad anything thread?

Smooth? A significant road bump caused his hand to slip off. Watch the two cyclists before him in this clip. You can see them bump up and down.

Bicycles are too dangerous.

Pullin' up a front row seat to witness Uncle Pcad's 40,000th post. I estimate it should happen by Wednesday...
Man, night shift sucks.

I'm getting far too sensible and mindful of safety. On my latest pretty bike, I did the most fredly thing. I mounted front and rear lights. I don't want to get caught out in the dark again.
I also put electrcal tape on a sadle. I'm particularly proud of this one.

My old pal Ben is back in the local peloton. He is the Bike Schwag King. He is on a new Giant SL with Di2. But of course. He's shopping wheels, I think he's going to wind up with those very cool new Zipp 303 tubies.

God I wish I had ridden to work today. Staring out the window as the sun brightens the day is bothering me; why do you taunt me so oh gigantic gas ball?

He should get the new 404 all carbon clinchers. Schwag-tastic. I think they have the same wider shape that those newer 303s have.

Why, when perennial All-Star players leave their team, do they go to New York? How boring. It's like, 'Hey, I'm not famous ENOUGH yet.'

The same as all of us.
