just looked it up. it got into the 90's in Phoenix but the "feels like" rating was in the 80's. for us the feels like was higher than the actual temp. i need some sort a head band for the benefit of everyone else on my rides.

i'll post it here too:
wrong chain ring, wrong gear on the cassette, no aero bars allowed, tires not oriented the same way, crankarms oriented wrong, wheel decals in the different positions front and rear, cut the excess steerer tube and get rid of the tumor under the seat. for a guy that bashes every pic they put up on here, you totally did it wrong.

Tumor under the seat! thats funny. but its true to look at how wide it is in the front. I had that same problem until it wore a hole in the inside thigh of my favorite shorts.
Oh, and stop buying your cycling paraphernalia at Walmart.

I never want to get on a bike when its in final gear. WTF?
Illegal to race with. (1400 ) I am not racing the 1.5 , i am training to kick some butt on the ms150. i want to see how fast i can do it. and i've got a long time to train.
There separate tires... I run a hard case front and a sticky on the rear.
There supposed to be that way.
that i will give you.
How the EFF Do you change that? And who the EFF Cares?
The steerer is as low as it goes. ( 1400 ) and i am not going to cut the 1.5 for another 1000 miles , and i bet you carry 2 tubes a tire patch kit and a set of tools and some co2 in your pocket.. Must have fun on a 50 mile ride...
So i dont think i did it so wrong.

All I'm going to say in this thread is "they're going there with their friends."

You ever not see something which you really should have noticed?
Today I was on the platform during a musical program (over near the wall, fortunately). I get up to the stand as the piano is playing the introduction and there's not much space. To my right are other trumpeters. On my left (at an angle) is a plant.
I decide to slide the plant about 12" farther to the left with my foot to so I'll have more room. Only problem: there's a step down 6" to the left.
Topple and thud.
A few people probably saw it; more people heard it.
At any rate it was an idiotic moment.

Flyboys <=== Pretty lame movie
Razor, I think you should change your wheels to the hardcase rear and sticky up front. that will offer better traction and flat resistance.

Can't. Bike is at home in Columbus, OH. I'm doing a 3 day weekend with my daughters, so no serious cycling this weekend. I see some them out here in the morning or evening, not so much during the day. Just observing the general misery of living in a dessert suburb.

PCrash Report - mild concussion, road rash on my face, a few contusions and a wrecked jersey and dinged helmet. And the Scott Ultegra brifters are toast. But no major damages. Hell I feel guilty even posting this here after what gsteinb experienced this week. But I was sort of cold cocked for 10 minutes (they said I kept asking the same questions over and over, I have no memory of that period of time) so it was off the the ER for a CT scan and maybe some stitches.
Passed on the stitches, they released me half an hour ago. My bell did get rung pretty good. Oh well. Dr. Bob went down in front of me on River Vale Road about half a mile from the Pearl River line. My last thought was: 'crap Dr. Bob, I'm going to have to ride right over you now'. And so I did. No time to brake. Then I remember hitting the deck on the left side of my head, hard. Then I woke up talking to the ambulance dude. I think I was going 23-25 mph when I hit the road.
Crashing on a bike like that isn't usually scary. But it does eff up your day pretty good. Or your season if things really go wrong. Oh well. I'm not dead. And the Mets are playing today. The torment continues.
I've been doing that ride for 20+ years, never crashed on it before. And I think I'm the first guy they ever hauled off in the ambulance that I can remember. Thanks to Big Paul for getting my Scott back to Piermont. I'm headed over there now to pick it up and get it squared away. Everybody on the ride and at Valley Hospital couldn't be nicer. If you're going to slam your head against the ground @ 25 mph, it's good to do it in cycling.
