Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Careful. Somebody might cut the lock off your bike while you're in the casino.

If they do, be sure to video it and post it on BF.

I note that we appear to be cultivating a new generation here to carry the torch when we can't take this any more.

They're sadly deficient in writing skills, but that's somehow fitting.

1650 over 35 miles is a lot? I always thought flordia was flat like souther jersey, but my ride today (while considered rolling for my area) was 1350 for 35 miles. If you never hit that you must be in super flats ville.

Newsflash to all you Fred Idiots: you want to climb better? Lose 5 lbs. You want to climb much better? Lose 15. Think of all the effort I could save those stupid Bicycling Magazine writers with all those moronic 'Climb Better in 2 Weeks!' articles.

That is all.

What's your point? I'm also watching some dumb movie on TV--it's multi-tasking.

Does that make it better?

You like that?

The ride I did with 20-30 seems like a lot to me. It has a hard time making it through the stop lights without getting split into two.

Why are some many Country songs about being "country" nowadays? "I'm country, she's country, this is a country song about how great it is to be country", etc...

What happened to the good old themes about drinking whiskey, cheating on women, having women cheat on you, being a boy named Sue?

I put it to the savants of the BF Brain Trust.

Meh, they're just blowing through here. Just had one go through - pretty intense wind, rain, lightning for a few minutes. Then it moved on.

My normal 35 mile ride going over the only hill here a few times gets me 200 ft.
