Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

my glove disintegrated when I went down last week. They really only protect your palms...my scraped knuckles wish they used leather on the top as well

my hands get too sweaty to ever take off the gloves for anything more than around the block.

Pcad you are ruining my dream of creating an elite cat 4 team to get you to cat 3... I now only have doomstock to hold onto now.

Not for nothing, but Vino's SL3 with the custom paint is the hottest race bike I've ever seen in my life. They just had close ups of that rig on Versus HD. Wow.

'450 watts on some of these climbs, these are some fit men' says Roll.

We already know that Bobke.

You're just giving the idiots in the 33 more ammo.

Fortunately, they generally just shoot themselves in the foot with it. Think of all the Sidis they go through doing that.

I don't need your support. I need better cash flow in my business this month.

Of course since the bad cash flow is largely caused by a big ramp up in new business, I can't really feel too bad about it.

Hey those new Radio Shack commercials with Lance and the fat guy are pretty funny.

Everyone thinks self employment is where it's at. It's actually quite stressful.

The High Def TV coverage of the Tour is like the best TV I've ever watched in my entire pathetic middle aged sorry ass friggin life. 40" of Samsung LCD HD beauty 6' from my king sized bed.

And don't underestimate how much that latter setup juices up a middle aged love life with a little video porn on occasion.

On occasion. You know. Like once a month whether I need it or not.

Hey, I've done it for 19 years. Works for me. Work for somebody? It should become apparent that if I think everyone is a total idiot, that included my former bosses. I'm better off being the hammer than the nail. But my employees stay with me, one full timer for 9 years now and my part timer for 10+.

So yes, there are pressures, but compared to having a real job, it totally rocks. Hey, I've ridden my road bike 12,000 miles annually since 2005. Couldn't do that with a real job.

There's nothing sexy about old people having sex.

And your use of the word juice was gross.

This flexibility is why it's desirable, if you have the discipline.

And you don't have to work for anyone remotely resembling the Man.

We tried the porn thing once... it was too funny to seriously work. I am surprised you can pull it off pcaddy. What else do you do to "spice" things up? I need to know what to do when I get older.

Well much like the definition of "weird uncle" he often forgets who his nephews are.

Cancellara said that heat is harder for him because he's a big guy. I think I'll add that to the quiver of excuses.

You can never have enough. You start with a quiver, and by the time you're my age, it's a duffle bag.

That's because I have no way of knowing what person I have never heard of before on FB is actually midget from BF. PM me here, tell me what your actual name is, and I'll accept your FB friend request.

And I'm sure I will live to regret this magnanimous gesture.
