Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Unsurprising.

OK, I looked at a couple sites for tape. Including shipping, in the $14 range I see

https://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=A0693

https://www.performancebike.com/bikes...3_20000_400214

What other options at that price?

Another light afternoon shower. It's like a sauna again.

I'm starting to long for the 98F dry heat we had a couple weeks ago.

I like Cinelli cork, but it's out of your price range. I'm trying Serfas synthetic cork right now and it's only $10 at the LBS - no waiting.

I like the specialized tape. Had to redo my tape on my roubaix, and was able to get the same stuff, complete with gell pads.

OK, I created a nearby loop.

For you P&R readers it goes by the Buddhist temple.

I've ridden it plenty of times but never timed just the loop part. Map My Ride says it's 4.92 miles. How fast can I do it?

These are the reasons I like Cinelli cork, assuming I understand what you mean by "squigy".

Wait, I may need to change my guess. Are you going to stop and meditate during this loop?

I'm off to the Buddhist TT.

Versus live coverage surprisingly absent.

Oh Snap!

hahahahahhahahah

my doctor was pleasantly surprised at my weight. He muttered something about it being hard to keep off. I think he missed the part where I had not seen him in 3 years, which probably translates into a loss of .15 lbs/ week or some else very sustainable.

God help you all if I ever stop eating like 3,500 calories a day. Of course my lack of self discipline won't allow it. I ride so I can eat, but whatever.

I also am loaded with water everyday. What is normal? I drink well over a gallon every day.

I just drink water or iced tea continously throughout the day. I don't know how much it is. I usually drink about 12oz. per 10 miles when riding, depending on the heat. Here is a quick guide from the Mayo Clinic.

I really should graduate to the 33, if for no other reason than because I have the smug look of a 33er down when I self-righteously glance at the fatties lined up at the drive-thrus as I pedal home.

Oh well, no garmin tonight. The site is still down.

My FRS trial came today, $40 of stuff for $4 shipping.

It tastes like a combination of orange juice and ass.

I highly recommend that you do not buy it. I couldn't finish my first cup of it.

That stuff is really, really nasty. Did you by any chance get the chews? Do NOT eat them. They are insanely gross.

Oh, beware the auto-enrollment thing they do.

They will automatically ship you more and charge you for it.
