I think I should just tell slothy he's grounded and be done with it.

That's it. You're grounded kid.

patentcad 03-06-10 04:49 PM

Tomorrow is the first race of the season in Central Park. We tee off @ 6:30AM. The way I see this, it's a really hard, overly fast, idiotically expensive, relatively dangerous, preposterously inconvenient spin class. On the other hand there is the free parking in Midtown Manhattan, so it's almost worth it just for that.

Almost.

Do you want me to post pics on BF of said spin class? I can be there with my camera in hand if you want... :p

Kai Winters 03-06-10 05:17 PM

First flat of the season...tiny shard of glass in the tire...found it without slicing my finger tip too...a big plus hehehe.

nivekdodge 03-06-10 05:41 PM

Well , tomorrow the same thing will happen in Pittsburgh minus the organizational skills. Same costs and competition in the cold and muck, without the decalred winner. No one would be the wiser if we (two of us) stayed in bed, but we will be there with the same drive and competition and free parking. At least you will know where you stand... well I'll be last so I guess there is no need for organization after all

All of your vacillation ("I like it today, it's a keeper" to "rough today on chip seal etc) is evidence that the bike isn't quite "right" for you.

Sloth , you magnificent bastard I think your on to something. PCAD talks so much he can't possibly remember what he said, or thought yesterday. Yesterday, the road was hurting his back, and the ADDICT wasn't dialed in. Today it's perfect. There's a name for his condition. I just can't spell it.

If you really want to go to CP at 7AM and snap pictures of this idiocy, it's your call.

Take pictures of the Free Parking in Midtown and submit it to Ripley's Believe it or Not.

Addict, or Soloist?

patentcad 03-06-10 08:47 PM

S2, Zipp Tubies, Mavic Elites in car as back up hoops. CP followed by a little Nyack Ride hammering.

Kai Winters 03-07-10 05:04 AM

7th straight day of work...only 5 or 6 to go before they give us a day off...ugh.

my buddy and i went to watch the race (apparently i'm forbidden to race given collegiate rowing rules)... what cat are you? if i had known the infamous pcad was there... i might've [strike]made a sign[/strike] said hello

no seriously it was a pretty miserable day, we went out to do laps at 5, was ran into by a guy on a cervelo (not you i don't think) who proceeded to dust himself off and ride on without saying a word (he hit me from behind)

Couldn't have been Pcad, he would have yelled at you for being in his way.

Couldn't have been Pcad. That old fart isn't fast enough to run into anyone from behind. He just talks so much #@#@ here that he has many of you thinking he's a strong rider. Heck, he doesn't even know how to pick the right bike for himself. :D

OK, from the No Matter What You Do You Are Effed Dept., I got a $65 ticket for parking in front of some guy's friggin driveway on E. 82nd Street. Hell, I didn't even know they had driveways on E. 82nd Street. Never noticed it parking in the pre-dawn gloom. This is literally 200 meters from the Metropolitan Museum steps. How rich do you have to be to have a garage in your townhouse on E. 82nd Street? Whoah.

I finished the 35+ race mid field, I even passed half those idiots in the sprint. Details later. I am utter. friggin. toast.

coasting 03-07-10 12:17 PM

Bernie Madoff called the cops on you? that's rich!

patentcad 03-07-10 01:27 PM

I was incorrect. I had assumed that it was a ticket for partially blocking the guy's driveway. I just read the summons. It is for an expired inspection sticker. It expired a week ago. Oh well.

Atol 03-07-10 01:41 PM

Serious question:

Do you like the Scott more than the Cervelo?

I do prefer the S2, but the Scott is growing on me. That Cervelo is the ideal all around race bike. The Addict is an amazing climber however.

Expired tags?? alittle less time posting and alittle more time at the DMV. Pic's of the days activities?

Expired annual inspection sticker (it only expired 2.28). Car has to get inspected this week. Stupid ticket.

I don't know. $65, sent them the check already. I am moving forward, but if you want to grind that axe, please do.
